I really can't see it being a match-fixing issue.... (I'd be amazed, and massively disappointed, obviously)
I reckon Thaler has been the standout ref for years, despite what some may say on here.
Two things -
the reports suggest it was an incident that happened before the weekend of the Leeds-Hull game; if it was match-fixing or something like that there is no way he would have been allowed to take control of another game.
the fact that he wasn't given a game last weekend seemed to be missed somewhat but for him to miss this weekend as well was already beginning to raise questions so the RFL couldn't ignore the matter any further.
