Quote ="Exeter Rhino"Not a world-beater by any means but based on what I've seen so far this season Donaldson offers far more on attack and defence than JJB. Not sure what he's bringing to the side for all his experience.
Hopefully Ablett will make more of an impact. Not so long ago he had the power to change the direction of a game, but it will be a big ask after a long injury lay-off.'"
Not really a fair comment. JJB has only featured in 2 games off the bench so far with a total of 79 minutes. The first of these he was clearly not match fit and he is covering the tough central defending prop position and he didn't shirk tackling big Kasiano last night. The work rate of the two players is very similar but while JJB has made zero errors and no penalties, Donaldson has made 2 errors and 4 penalties.
JJB's match fitness after a long injury lay off will only improve as he gets more minutes. Of course he is way past his best but there are quite a number of players to blame for our defeat last night before JJB.
