Anyone else amused by the irony of this? I know it is a serious conservation project and issue, but..........as a marketing 'faux pas' it takes some beating in our current crisis.
I've always thought that every SL team should have an associated charity and one of the rounds is a charity round. Clubs could have one off shirts with profits split between them and the charity. Would be better than the superhero ones they dish out now
Fellow Rhinos, please don't get me wrong here. I am a conservationist. It is merely the timing of this that amuses; by the time we play Salford we could be clinging on to SL life.
I think every SL club should pick a charity that they focus on for the whole year. One round raising a few grand wouldn't help as much as say a logo on the shirt every game (and so seen on TV) plus ongoing efforts.
I don't think the irony of asking which 'rhino' we're trying to save is lost on anyone!
