For all the years I've been going, I always assumed that once I had to break the golden seal I was giving up that spot and would likely have to find a new place to stand (and never had a problem doing so).
Today however having made my way from the middle of a packed Southstand to head to the loo I presumed my prime spot on the half way line was lost (my fault). Upon returning back to the stand I found a large space and made my way into that only to be told in no uncertain terms I "couldn't" stand there as it was "reserved".
So am I wrong and it's bad form to stand anywhere but where you first chose to stood, OR if you leave your spot is it then relinquished? Of course when I tried to return to my spot in the middle it was gone...'"
If there's no-one stood there then anyone can stand there. First come first served.
