Quote="WireWonder"I don't know what Leeds fans were really expecting this season, you were never going to be competing with the big clubs like Warrington this year.
It's a long way back for the 'Rhinos' before you'll be troubling the silverware again because a long rebuilding process is ahead.
It's poor to lose to Saints by so many as they are a club in decline. [size=150We hammered them,no sweat.[/size
Another great win for Wire tonight. Still at the summit looking down at the rest.'"
That's the funniest thing I've read in years. [size=150One win in a decade[/size. Have a word with yourself.
Wire need to dominate for the next four or five years at Old Trafford before they will be up there with Leeds and Saints. They are still no marks when it comes to silverware despite back to back cup wins.
Leeds are in decline no doubt but Wire will lose the spine of their team in the next two years. Let's see what happens when Briers, Hodgson, Monaghan x2 and Carvell and Morley have retired or moved on. Saints haven't dropped out of the top two in Super League in five years despite losing Long, Sculthorpe and Cunningham and replacing about 60% of the starting 17 in that time. Let's see if you can do the same. Unlikely.
Leeds need to ship out some of their former stars but not throw the baby out with the bath water or it will take some serious rebuilding.
