Do they not look at potential loop holes before submitting laws in our game? It's a joke is this system as people have already said whats the point in limiting your overseas quota and then allowing a sort of rotation policy.

Dobson is one of the best 7s in SL. But wouldnt get a gig in the NRL.

The reason it affects us, is the same reason it affects every club in the league. The RFL have allowed a club to not only break the rules once to de-register Dobson for Mason, but then allowed that club to break the rules the put in place specifically for this situation by allowing HKA to de-register Mason for Dobson. The end result? Matt Cook and Scott Taylor get less games and the game looks stupid.

Hull KR have effectively exceeded (cheated?) the permitted quota cap for 2011. They signed Mason (a quota player) when their quota places were already allocated for the season.

The strange part in this fiasco is the sport's ruling body permitted them to do so while stating the specific rule was in place to prevent teams from stock-piling quota players and rotating them through the registration/de-registration procedures.

Now Hull KR will no doubt demand a transfer fee from Toulon as they claim: [i"The club's position remains that Willie is retained under the terms of a contract of employment and that no direct approach has been made for his services." [/i
