I have no issues with Buderus (and Briers) being penalised for lifting a player's legs above the horizontal as that is the interpretation the refereees are supposed to apply.
The difficulty in understanding comes only when O'Loughlin did it last night and no penalty was forthcoming and when Brough (was it?) did it on Atkins tonight, again with no penalty.
It will also be interesting to see if King's reaction to a harmless looking bodycheck from Griffin is viewed as proportional and whether Paul Wood charging in to the ensuing scrap from yards away throwing plenty of leather in to the bargain is worthy of action.
