Just ask everywhere! If you get a funny look off the cashier at, say, the ritz, just laugh and say "bloody students eh?"
Oh, and try not to get too annoyed when you walk out of a shop that definatly does student discounts, having forgotton. Thats probably the most annoying thing ever.
