The bottom line is that the mid-season international should be on a blank weekend and until they make it against Other Nationalities (which would include Wales & France, but without decimating their teams) then forget about it.

And so they should have had their games pushed back!
2008; Bosc was out through injury and 9 players played in the international.
2009; Catalans had 10 players in the 17.
Fair enough if a team is decimated through injuries as you are at the moment I think there should be special dispensation for such occasions when a friendly international is up. However if Leeds were asked to provide 10 of their squad I think the Leeds board would be asking the RFL for a postponement too especially if they had to travel to France (as Cats would have had to travel to the UK in both postponed games)

I didn't suggest otherwise.



Not sure Leeds would as it happens (when they chose to go ahead with their game V Castleford in 1998 they had 14 players unavailable through international calls and injuries.) I think the corporate sell at Headingley requires games to go ahead on schedule.

I'm pleased Leeds are away this season on the international weekend but expect them to go ahead with the fixture regardless of any call ups anyway.
