Taking them to use as sunshades (and so my mates kids can see him in the crowd) After the two visits down there last season I ain't risking taking the sun-cream this time . It tastes horrible when it gets in your beer . Thanks Diane , thanks Lesley , sorry Kev
It rained when we were stood outside the pub opposite the Webb Ellis Wetherspoons , so they did come in handy. Only for a few minutes or so though .
The brollies did make an apearance on the telly , just as John had disappeared to the burger van , so his kids didn't see him.
We had a bet with his workmates on wether the brollies would appear on the telly . We won . Who should we donate the winnings to ?
Beer prices were extortionate again (3.75 a pint was worst i saw). Best bargain to be had was a fiver for a beer and a burger and chips in the Webb Ellis .
Worst part of the day was that all the pubs had the union match on telly ,and were full of henrys shouting 'gooowaaarrrrrrn'. Friendly locals though ,and had some good banter with them .
Still the best away day by a mile .
Saw those brollies. Soccer AM's third eye might be interested in (was it you LS13?) jumping around with 2 brollies when Robbie Burrow makes that break up the touchline in the 2nd half. Jumping about like an eight year old on red bull
