| Watched the game back and was surprised to hear the Sky team start banging the drum for Ryan Halls inclusion on the wing for England. I can see why though as IMO he is the best all round winger in SL this season and made the last England winger (Calderwood) look like a tool last night on more than 1 occasion, but what so you think? Is it too early yet? Or are we that short on top Wingers that he is just in the right place at the right time?
What I do like about him is that he always seems to break the tackle and adds a lot of go forward coming off the line which, lets face it, Calderwood never did that. He has also developed his speed now in although not the quickest, isnt too far behing. He's also a unit. Manu Vatuvei watch out ay
Anyway all I can say is that I have been very critical of him over the last 3 or 4 years and i am glad he has proven me wrong.
Keep it up Ryan

| He's growing and learning both physically and mentally. Still nowhere near the finished article IMO, but the positive signs are there. His game awareness is improving too - it would have been all too easy on the try that got disallowed last night to look for the corner himself rather than have the skills to adjust his body and deliver the inside ball on the run at full pace.

Putting up a good fight with Mr Ainscough at the moment for it, but imo I think that it will happen soon. Really good player is Ryan, and think that in time could be one of the best wingers in SL.. that is if he hasnt moved into the pack by then.

Ainscough is a cracking little finisher, but he's always going to have that chink in his armour that Warrington exploited under the high ball - unless he acquires some genetically modified legs.

It would great to Ainscough up against Folau - especially for the high ball
The one Folau caught on Friday he must have been 4/5 ft in air ie about as high as Ainscough!!!

| To be honest I think, in many respects, it should be too soon for Hall, who is not the finished article. But as it is, the competition for wing places in the England team is somewhat less than ferocious, so he may have a chance sooner than might otherwise be expected. If he continues to develop well, there's no reason he can't be genuine international quality in 2 or 3 years time.
I've only seen a couple of full games of Ainscough, but he looks a good finisher but a bit vulnerable on defence. Wouldn't be fair of me to say that is necessarily representative of his whole season though.

He's developed well this year.
But if Smith isn't ready for England centre yet, he still should be first choice winger.
