Does this mean Tony Smith takes notice of what Martin Offiah says?

Radlinski coming on board with the international set up was one of Offiah's suggestions in the post world cup discussion on Boots 'N All.

Another name he suggested was Garry Schofield, while noting he's a critical observer these days in his newspaper columns.

i know they have won a few trophies but lets face it, it's not exatly confrence premier is it? let's put it into perspective a bit. i'm glad he's back in the game, iv'e said before he was a hero of mine as a kid and to many others who post on here but they won't admit it. they prefer to have a go for his comments.

At the risk of opening up this can of worms again, I have very separate views on his playing and post-playing careers. As a player you can certainly include me among those for whom he was a hero in my youth. That view remains unchanged. However, in my personal opinion, which I'm sure will be of little consequence to Mr Schofield, is that he has let himself down quite badly since he stopped playing with his bitter rent-a-gobbing. I trust it has made him enough money because it has cost him a lot of respect. This does not diminsh in any way what I thought of him as a player, and if he can get his head right, lose the apparent chip on his shoulder and bring the benefit of his considerable talent and experience into the game somewhere, that would, I agree, be a good thing.
