| As the talk about moving Magic weekend to Newcastle in 2011 is coming on, where would you like to see the weekend moved to.
I wouldnt mind Newcastle because the ground is nice and would fit the bill for fans imo.
based on attendances from yesterday, they could move it too the city of manchester stadium, and have a ground that actually looks full, and right next to the town centre.
I wouldnt mind going to Anfield either, good town centre, and not hard for all fans to get.
would like a return to Cardiff however.
What about you?

What about you?'" Manchester, Liverpool or anywhere else in the heartlands would ruin the concept for me. You would get fans just going for their game not for the whole weekend, you wouldn't get the same atmosphere in the local bars over the course of the weekend. I know if it was at either of those ground I would simply drive up watch our game then come home which undoes a lot of the idea of the weekend imo. And if locals there are interested in the sport they already have enough chances to go to games.
Personally I would love to see it back at Cardiff but doubt that would happen. Dublin has been mentioned in the past and that would be great although a logistical nightmare to get the fans over there a lot of extra planes/ferries would be needed.

| yep totally agree, needs to be a city where we can promote rugby league and get as many people as possible to come and watch, like Cardiff, Newcastle, Edinburgh

| Back in 2006 when I did Travel and tourism at Park Lane college we had to do a display on a holiday destination as part of a unit. Whilst everyone else (boring) choose places like Majorca and Egypt. I went for a more ambitious little place called Kookynie in Australia.
Anyways here’s my display -
As you can see I’ve got a homemade didgeridoo in my hand. You will also see a CD player on the table where I blasted out Rolf Harris’s didgeridoo song on repeat all afternoon. Unfortunately whilst everyone found it easy to get a brochure for they place I had to make my own -
I don’t think I sold the place to anyone that day but still I got a distinction. Hopefully I can sell the place to RFL and fans of rugby league so we can all have a magic weekend here. All we need now is a stadium built.
The lucky ones can sleep in the Kookynie Grand Hotel -
Whilst the rest of us will have to play hi di hi di hi di ho and camp it out. Come on it’ll be a blast!

| Newcastle would be a fantastic location IMO. Having worked their many times it ticks all the boxes.
1) Stadium bang in the centre of the city
2) Plenty of bars, cafés and restaurants close by
3) Tons of cheap (ish) city centre hotels (although not as many as Edinburgh)
4) Commutable from Yorkshire/Lancashire
Gets my vote.

| In the bin - simply a waste of time and money. Stick to a fixture list of 26 games and forget travelling half way around Scotland and Wales.

I go because I enjoy watching RL but I believe the accomodation and travelling costs make the long journey questionable in the long run.
