| Also ask most superleague fans where they would rather go. Our place or yours, I think you will find they would rather go to Cas.

In HKR's case I don't think it's all about winning because they were doing that pretty much every week in their last few NL seasons but still drew poor crowds.
Maybe there was never an appetite for NL while Hull FC were in SL and getting back into the same league as their rivals restored lost pride/interest around East Hull but for whatever reason attendances at NCP soared immediately after promotion and have continued to show steady improvement.
More significantly neither home or away support seems to drop significantly during poor spells of form and in that respect we Cas fans could not claim to have shown the same solidarity over the last 2-3 years.
We might deride the majority of Robins fans as 'Johny come latelies' but it looks like they're here to stay and I wish we could say the same about the couple of thousand who have fallen off our bandwagon since 2007.

| Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant!!! Ask yourself Scabbycat, where were the Red Robins 14yrs ago?
I'll tell you where, we were about to be thrust into a ten year spell of Administration, our crowds were down to the bare bones and many saw that the only way out of this hell hole was to merge and make one team that would be positioned in the centre of town (on the west side of the city mind).
However through grit and determination, numerous boards of directors, millions of pounds given with no way of getting it back, we have fought to bring Hull TWO Super League clubs that are thriving, giving back to those 1200 fans what they deserved when they raised money just to keep the club afloat.
So what if we have 6000 bandwagoners, so what if they all bugger off the day we don't play in the SL, I know I'll be there. But since it bothers you so much that we are going to bring away support to Wheldon Road (you probably never even went when it was called that) that will out sing your supporters with more than just one song I do hope that one day your hopes and dreams for Cas Tigers fall through and you have your very own pants pulled down while the Administrators probe you and all the rest of you "loyal" 5000!!!
Oh and as for Craven Park, look at the plans for our North Stand, put your head on the block and tell me you wont come because it's a rubbish view once this is built! The East stand will be one of the best terraced stands in the game while the club are still trying to find funding to get a new South stand built and by our own CEO's admission it will be something nobody in our region has ever seen before!
More than making it look pretty but you still won't turn up because you are a part timer that only goes to home games yet still moans because your mates have told you it is a rubbish view!!!

Pretty sweet post apart from the wishing the Administrators round on us!
CP is probably the most intimidating ground for an away side in SL. Not a bad achievement from a side who were loitering in NL1 not doing a right lot 6 years ago. Personally have a lot of respect for everyone at KR (apart from Ben Cockayne_

Didn't mean it honest, I like Cas to be honest and wouldn't wish the administrators on anyone after what we went through.
Do think we were always competative in NL1 and gave it a good crack but were just never the finished article. With no Ben Fisher at Halifax we'd have made the final a year earlier though!!!!

As a long standing Kr fan ( 43 years) i have seen the ups and downs of most clubs who presently operate in SL, i have also visted every ground over those years and can honestly say that the condition of some of those grounds was always irrelevant and secondry, the support of my club has always been first and foremost regardless, i sometimes think that the modern supporter is either soft or just use the facilities argument as a lame excuse.
With regards to support, during the late seventies and eighties Rovers always had very good support home and away which continued until probably the late eighties/early nineties, in fact it was during the early to mid eighties when Rugby league as a sport was dying on its feet and both Hull clubs with their large followings and successes during those periods, kept the game of rugby league in the media spotlight. Unfortunately for rovers and Hull to a lesser extent the crowds then started to decline rappidly due to poor managment and descision making, which resulted in the clubs fortunes declining even further to a point when Rovers had to go into administration.
Thankfuly, a new board of dirctors took over six or seven years ago headed by Neil Hudgell and several other board members who were and still are huge Kr fans, the rest is history as they say, we are now making huge strides both on and off the pitch with some very good player recruitment an improving youth set up and huge ground improvements including extensions to the east stand, a new six million pound North stand development to begin in June all been well, plus further developments planned for the south side at a later date.
All clubs in all sports go through difficult times in their history for different reasons but most come through them and out of the other side, we are no different in that respect and as with all clubs who show the desire and commitment to improve and achieve success, come the larger followings.
