Yes I have to say I am thinking along those lines too while ever wakey are around and we have not started the build anything could still happen. I think we must get the planning in asap and at least get the pitch laid to show a start.

It'd be hilarious if Wakey came crawling over with a begging bowl after telling us where to go when we first proposed a ground share. If they can pay rent, or if they put enough finance into it, I'd accept it. I said that before. But if they turned round now and wanted in on our plans, we'd have to be in the driving seat.

It means "please dont kick us out of sl rfl, we have a little bit of the funding sorted for the stadium," (even though our planning application has gone to the dogs)

Certainly have no idea why they feel people need this clarification. It's been widely publicised since it was first announced that the council weren't giving cash to either club.

We've got that at Wheldon Road, and despite it's character, we're all man enough to admit that it's not good enough even if we redeveloped it. Both grounds are old and decrepit, and staying in them is not a good option.

I asked the question on the wakey board about this statement but it just looked as though it was going to escalate into another slanging match so i let it drop, but i have to say that the statement did seem very strange to me just for the simple fact of why make it at all ?.

But no-one answers the question of how they can stay when they have sold the ground.

If they can "buy-back" their stadium and find the resources to re-develop this has to be their best option.

At least if the worst does happen and they are relegated they still have a ground in Wakefield!

He is fully aware of the 'banter' that is going on at the moment on the forums and he said he wasn't cocerned about what Wakefield were doing, as it all about us.

I said it's now up to you to take the weight of your shoulders and make all us Cas Fans happy by making sure that FPP goes in. His exact words were 'It's going in next week and he was going to be filmed handing it into the Planning Office himself. However the MD at Probiz wants a 'Personality to do it'

It's interesting how this thread title seems to sustain relevance with every development in this whole thing. The latest are some seemingly bitter comments from Ted Richardson in the League Express as discussed on casforum.co.uk and totalrl.com. In summary:

Phenomenal. No idea why he thinks that's going to work. Perhaps that's Plan B for Wakefield...
