| It's about the £2m loan from WMDC that RW was talking about in his last blog.
There is a blog due to be released but a number of issues have meant that it has been put back.

Good point, well made!
Actually, having read my post back you could still take that either way as a Cas supporter, the news will be positive or negative and you can pick whichever most fits your feelings and opinion... but the serious point is, there will be news very soon!!!
Fully - Is this £2m loan in addition to the loan of £2 land from WMDC as loan security? If so, if Wakefield do get good news (in their eyes ) would that make it easier for WMDC to stick their hand in their pocket and give Cas some additional loan funding?

| I think if NM is sound financially in terms of the capital to build you wouldn't get many WT fans who would be angered by the WMDC helping Cas out with a funding shortfall. As long as it was repaid at a reasonable rate and time frame for all- one that wouldn't pinch the ratepayer, but also wouldn't squeeze the Cas as they settle into your new home.
That would ensure 2 new state of the art grounds with which to build a successful RL platform for the future.
IMO not many WT fans had any problem with WMDC being involved with J32 as long as we got the same assistance if needed. If NM gets the nod and is funded by YK (on the whole) I would have no complaints if WMDC came on board with J32 after FPP was given and made up the shortfall. All for the good of the game in our region.

No: it's the same land loan deal that has been proposed all along for both Cas and Wakefield.

| Read the blog as an interested outsider. Typical RW, gives you a bit of hope but when you actually consider whats been said, it doesn't really put you any further forward.
The language used is failry non-commital and as for the dry run of the SL application, everyone knows that the "Facilities" element will determine which one of Cas and Wakey are to get the boot, so the fact the dry run didn't and obviously couldn't comment on this aspect, means it means pretty little in the overall scheme of things.

a big part of the cas application is the junior develpoment and community work.dont bank on it all coming down to the stadiums because we all know neither cas, wakey or salford will have their grounds built for 2012 and only mid way through the next round of franchises will they be ready if at all.
back to the application ive seen the report back from the rfl regards the junior developement and the rfl rate us has on par with the very best and we are the envy of many super league clubs. with how we bring our youngsters through the ranks from scholorship to first team and the help and assistance young players get not only for their rugby careers but their lifestyle and further education.imho this is one area we have got right in the past 5 years and you only after look at our recent track record to see we have got the blend just right .

But maybe we will be in a high quality SL stadium for the start of 2012. I also believe RFL have set up some kind of committee to look into clubs ability to finance and deliver on promises. Could be a very awkward situation for Cas.

On your standard I would imagine we would have a similar glowing report. Do you have a link to this report?

| What I did find interesting in the blog is that no mention what so ever was made to the sale of Wheldon Rd. We have been told on several occasions by Dickie that this is vital to release funds for the new ground. Why has nothing been said about this vital piece in the jigsaw?

yes you won the championship and there is the point how many of that side are now playing first team on a regular basis ?
the academy should be used for developing players careers, the year you one the title many of the opposition were nearly two years younger effectively you had u18s playing against u16s in some cases, most other teams u18s were playing in the u20s.still it was a good achievement to win the title but the question id be asking the club is why havent they gone to the next level.
i watched the game at cas when the two sides met that year with wakefield winning comfortably which included in the cas side that night jon davies, oliver holmes, jordan thompson, adam milner, joe arundel and jonny walker the latter 3 were regulers in the first team at the end of the season and made an impact on super league and id imagine they will be regular first team players next season.
you cant say the same for the wakey lads.

| Aaron Murphy & Dale Morton have both played a significant role in the 1st team.
Marty Wildie made his debut last season as did Kyle Trout, Cain Southernwood played 1st team at Bradford after coming through with the title winning Trinity Academy team (maybe credit to Bradford) but if that's the case then Ben Gledhill gets accredited to Wakefield.
Others to come through Trinity's Academy and go on to play at SL level include:
Gareth Ellis, Ben Westwood, Danny Brough, Steve Snitch, Keith Mason, Matt Blaymire, Ryan Atkins, Luke George, Dale Ferguson, James Davey, Kyle Bibb, Jay Pitts, that's not a bad list!
I think Cas have a superb set up as well so this post isn't meant to denigrate your system by any means.
As for Community work, it's pretty well universally accepted that Wakefield set the standards for rugby league clubs.

| In most other areas (stadiums aside) we both put together very good applications, both have areas to work on, but so do all. Lest we not forget the shocking standard for away fans at Leeds, which isn't set to be improved in the regeneration.
We all know the vital box to tick is the stadium, and as Dee correctly said there will be an independent audit done by Savilles (sp?) which will look into the viability and likelihood of delivery. This I feel may be "uncomfortable" to RW, he's always preferred to operate in a private party environment. Having inspectors poking around & especially looking in detail at a business plan for delivery by 2012 I would imagine is enough for him to go a very feminine shade of rose.

Have you forgot we've already started our stadium build? Our schedule is for a november 2011 complete date so even if we go over by a month or 2 we still will be starting the 2012 season in our new stadium easily.

| Well if Wakey do indeed move to Oakwell for a couple of seasons(or more) they could point to the facilities there, and a big push of rugby league in schools & the community, & given the soap opera that is Crusaders i wouldn't be surprised if they still got another franchise.
We need to get our plans up and running sharpish
