| Quote ="marshman"I was watching a guy as he entered the ground today. He was totally shocked at how bad CP is proclaiming it a dump, hole etc etc. We do seem to have a few fans with a chip on the shoulder that seem to think that our ground is so much of a higher standard than other grounds. I love our ground, away fans like our ground, it's got character and when it's full is a great atmosphere and experience. But as sporting grounds go, WR is a hole tbh, and that's why we're trying to get a new ground built. Craven Park is at least improving and that's all that anyone can ask for. You've only had a couple of season in SL but it's a better ground than when we were there in the NL1 days.'" What a shock! a fan speaking the truth on here instead of stupid arguments.I agree with all that you have said, both teams need better stadiums but it will take time and money. As for the fans,I can understand The Cas supporters being p!ssed off at the south stand view, but the behavior of around ten thugs leaving the stadium at the end of the match was disgusting. They were singing and chanting, which is fine, but when someone dared to say something back, they wanted a fight, shouted threats at the passing cars and behaved more like football hooligans. My ten year old daughter was quite frightened.I`m not saying it is just your fans, far from it,but i`ve got to say that is the first time i have seen it for a long time.Anyway, great game, and i`ll be amazed if you don`t finish in the top 5.

Therev were far to many variables for you to be 'certain' he would score.

Maybe if we find a few million this will become a reality but in the current financial climate I dont see this happening any time soon.
A new closer South stand would be good as a temporary measure as would the south extension to the East Stand of which I think will happen this close season. With any luck we'll still be in the SL for the next 5-10yrs and by the mid point of that time scale our ground could be close to completion.[/url

I think i saw that same group as we left the car park. They were a bunch of spunk fueled kids, acting the hard man and wanted to have a go at two KR lads (i'm guessing because they out numbered them by 5-1). As i got closer i noticed Mick Morgan have a word with them and tell them to clear off but when he left they carried it on. I then opened my car window and told them to stop being idiots and go home.

| There were a few cas fans being ejected from the ground which is something i haven't seen in a while at CP, and that when we scored infront of the cas fans more than one bottle was thrown onto the pitch

Two, apparently, vs half a dozen home fans (according to another thread). As for the bottle, I understand it was one bottle. When I passed my maths, one was not the same as 'more than one'*.

There is no way on gods green earth that should be penalty try as there were far too many things that could have gone wrong before he put the ball down
Could he have scorded it?, probably yes.
Was it certain?, Well for a start the Cas player could have dropped the ball, the ball could have taken a bad bounce, Fox could have had him in touch before grounding etc,etc all of that would have to be ruled as imposible (e.g the try would be scored for CERTAIN) for him to give a penalty try.
I suggest you stop asking Ben Thaler for your officiating tips.

doesnt have to be a CERTAIN try as you put it, it has to be a CERTAIN clear oppertunity that he would get it, and it was.
as for the Thaler bit - get over it, we'll get him some time or other as have to deal with it on the pitch.

Exactly, it only has to be a clear try scoring opportunity not they 100% must be able to score the try including will he keep hold of the ball?
If that was the case there would never be a penalty try.

No one even suggested you were "scum" as you put it. All clubs have their numpties, us included. I have only met Cas fans of the fabulous fans variety and was shocked to hear of the minor trouble from a very small minority of your fans.
What does shock me more is the slightly defensive nature of the post about the bottle. The issue is not weather it was one bottle or 10, it is the fact any where thrown at all, could have really hurt someone.
I don't want to end on a negative as I like Cas and their fans, you brought great support and it was a great display of defence by two up and coming teams.

If my post was defensive it was because I considered the previous post to be offensive. The inference was quite clear as far as I'm concerned and I responded to it, so I'm not going to rise to your thinly veiled dig that I somehow endorse hooliganism.
Given that you've told me what shocks you, perhaps you'll allow me to do the same? What shocks me is the fact that, despite winning the game the gut instinct of Robins fans is [inot[/i to go to their own messageboard to chat among themselves about their victory. No, it's to come on here and post condescending posts about how so and so was high tackled or how the ref let Cas off with everything or how our fans did this and said that (etc, etc, yawn).
Like I said after the game, you won for f*ck's sake. If Cas fans choose to pick through the bones of a defeat on their own board then there's nothing wrong with that, but if the victors don't agree with what we're saying the decent thing to do would be to ignore it, leave us to it and go back to your own board for a bit of back-slapping. Wouldn't it?

| You know what Disco I almost completely agree with you.
Everyone and I mean everyone see's a game differently, the part of the East stand where I am has given a player MOTM (among friends) yet the papers have said that he's had a nightmare of a game and needs to improve!!
Likewise I thought the ref allowed the game to flow but then Cas fans wanted the smaller things punnished and who wouldn't when your in an arm wrestle.
However nothing that is put on these boards changes anything that has already happened it is a mere opinion if you agree great if you dont well constructively discuss why you dont its what these boards are about. It shouldnt matter who you support this is an open board for all to chat, moan and bicker!!

I noticed you conveniently missed off the bottom of my post when quoting me. I personally didn't come on here, like some, for a reaction or to troll the life out of your board, I personally have a lot of good feelings for Cas and their supporters.
These boards are here for discussion if you don't like that maybe you shouldn't read them. All fans are entitled to their opinions. You were discussing the nature of the defeat, do we not have a right to discuss it amongst you like adults? It seems not! I bet you wouldn't have had a go about us or any one else coming on here to congratulate you if you had won? No I didn't think so, you have to take the rough with the smooth.
It certainly looks like we will have to agree to disagree on this one. No hard feelings.

Indeed, these boards are a place for public discussion. From such discussion I have concluded that the view of quite a number of Robins fans was that despite the fact that they won Cas nevertheless tackled high, were gifted things by the ref, have fans who throw bottles and cause trouble, etc, etc.
People are, as you say, perfectly entitled to air those views wherever they wish. But if they set out to antagonise by going to the beaten side's messageboard moments after they've won and airing them there, they can hardly complain when someone else airs the view that they ought to stop being condescending tw*ts and learn what the phrase "magnanimous in victory" means. Can they?

It seemed a fairly unrepentant post to me but I suppose you could call it a climb down, say, if English is a problem language.
