| Not convinced all is as it seems with the Sherwin thing. Lots more to it in my opinion. The team looked totally different tonight and defensively we were woeful. I can accept Sherwins loss in attack affected things and Chase tried really hard. But Sherwins absence doesnt excuse the defence.
Just hope the official line on Sherwins absence is true and we dont need off field issues, but if it is, its one of the most baffling decisions ever. 6 months of no games then rested after 2? No chance.
Something fishy I fear.

| We just looked lost out there tonight. There was no heart, no commitment and no urgency. The defence took a definite step back from the opening rounds.
I think the team selection was poor and our interchanges didn't help. We had a distinct lack of a plan B and continued with the same tactics throughout the game even thought they clearly weren't working.
As for Bradford, I don't think they're much better than last season. They were still suffering from an embarassing defeat last week so an improved performance was inevitable; therefore we couldn't just rock up and claim the points as we tried to do.
I don't think they have what it takes to compete with the likes of Leeds, Saints, Warrington and Wigan; and to be brutally honest their style of play still bores the hell out of me.

| Shifty wrote on Facebook last night that he wasn't being rested and it annoyed him that they were saying he was. He has a slight injury but will be back next week apparently.
Defence was absolutely woeful, Alibert seems to have an inability to call a forward pass!! and IMHO Braford weren't great, but neither were the conditions.
Unfortunate for Richie, i just hope we don't have more dumb selections over the coming weeks now that he is injured
Bad night at the office, lets just put it behind us and concentrate on next week

It was more entertaining than Cas last night that's for certain.
And IMO you're being a little unfair to the Bulls, I thought some of the tries were very skillful and I certainly enjoyed them!

| 1 to 17 Bradford beat us last night.
I'm not one for knocking our players or coaching staff, but I think they all need to look at their performance last night and question themselves. Team selection was questionable, tackling was woeful, we seemed to lack ideas with the ball in hand and our kicking wasn't the best.
But last night is over with and I'm sure the team will be working hard now to put right last nights wrongs. I for one am looking forward to positive response similar to Bradford's response last night.

Take orford out and you'd have been ordinary.
You would have still beaten us because you wanted it more than what we did.
Orford ran the show as did briers last week, we just cant deal with quick fast thinking half backs.

| Crazy, crazy decision to play Snitch at off-half, team selection has to be questioned!
But what about Huby's kick in general play to set the try, brilliant piece of skill from the prop!
Hope Owen recovers well.

| I'm another that thought team selection cost us last night.
Too many big men on the field, a lack of respect for the opposition or poor game plan. We were destroyed around the ruck, they were 5 yards faster in everything they did. Two teams, where the desire and will to win from one was much more evident than the other.
From conditioner, to coach, to every player - second best in everything last night.
If consistency is our aim we are :-
1 Excellent team performance
1 Very good effort , lack of discipline cost us the game
1 Woeful effort
Not promising. That said, if we win next week, I would have taken 2 from 4 at the start of the season.

| A bizarre performance. Bradford were certainly very ordinary, any team that concedes 22 points to that shower we had 'playing' still has a long way to go before being serious playoff contenders.
That said, Bradford were better than us in every department. Our defence was simply woeful, and we seemed to be lacking any sort of interest in the game... a very sad game

| Maybe one day some of you might just concede that a reason you were second-best last night was that we actually played rather better than it is politically-correct to acknowledge? And that we blitzed you early and you never really recovered from it - although made a good fist of it in the second half when we started to wobble a bit?
In the same way, some Bulls fans and others might just eventually concede that we were mullered by a far-better Stains team the previous week than (again) it is politically-correct to acknowledge, for precisely the same reason?

no arguments there mate, i think 1 to 17 you were better than us last night and i thought orford and kearney went very well for you on the back of some very strong forward play but having said that all did not look well to me for cas, that performance was a million miles away from the warrington game and why the hell would you rest your scrum half 3 games into the season if he was not injured or there was not some disaplin issue, no i am afraid after watching that performance i fear all is not well down at the jungle.

No complaints, you were by far the better team... I don't think anyone has claimed differently.

| Credit to Bradford...they were the better team on the night and more deserved of the result! Tiddly Alibert, was ok ish. He wasn't particulalry hot on the offsides or forward passes, but he was the same for both sides.
It was absolutely freezing at the game, and Cas never did seem to get warmed up. Defence was unenthusiastic, kicking game was poor and Cas didn't seem to gain yards half as quickly as Bradford. We really missed Sherwin, with such a firm pitch, pinning the Bulls back with long yardage gaining kicks is vital...and it just wasn't there on Friday.
Really saddened to see Owen get injured again. There is never a good time, however so early in the season is a big loss to Cas.
C'mon Terry, get your house in order ready for the HKR game!!!!
