The reason this conversation keeps going round in circles is because most Cas fans won’t take of the blinkers and accept this point. Why did he have to get involved, especially knowing full well who it was that approached him and what he was been associated with? The wording of the letter made it more clear what the underlying motivations was. To quote “we have made significant progress with our site at Junction 32” I mean come on, that could have been written in 2006 it could still be written in the 2014 franchise application! There has to be some kind of fair play in sport and this just isn’t it, actively and knowingly joining a campaign to stop top class sporting facilities been brought to the game of Rugby League. You now have a Chief Exec whose interests are directly in conflict with what’s best for the game of Rugby League. Not very good.

Dickie has also opened a right can of worms here and he is making a lot off enemies. He has to remember that if the Opus Planning application ever goes in, a PI could well take place. If NM gets passed could you imagine the amount of stirring Sir Rodney could do in that one? Pick your enemies wisely Trickey…..

There was no need for the "all cas fans are stupid" and the comments that came from it. It only made things worse. I was irritated at first with the comments but with RW not Cas or their fans.

The comments from RW were ill advised and not because it affects the stadium but because it starts a war like this.
There is no need and neither side will give in as every point made is just countered with a completely different issue the other way.
Lets just get on with the two stadiums.

The thing is though, RW hasn't done anything. He cannot and has no right to object; ergo, it's not an objection. It's a statement of fact provided in a response to someone asking questions about Cas's stadium, whether they'd share it and the feasibility study.

It's a pointless argument and Wakey fans are only upset because it brings into light something which had been pushed under a myriad of other issues.

I know that you know that what RW did was wrong; he may not have broken any law and he may only have repeated what was already in the public domain but as has already been said, he did so in a willful attempt to scupper the chances of NM ever happening; that shows a total lack of class and demonstrates contempt for the game of RL and the people of the district. His actions have shown him to be a desperate man and as I've already said, I expect that both RW and CT will pay a heavy cost for his moment of vindictive satisfaction.

If RW organised the Buffet for the PI he would've spent the last two weeks issuing press releases about how he was funding it, who was providing the plates, who was baking the bread etc etc. When everyone marched into the dining area on Tuesday they would've found the table empty!
