If Wakefield crawl out of their decrepid ruin of a stadium it will be most welcome. ATM they are still lying behind Cas and Salford re a licence.

We will see if the money will be available to build the stadia. Wakey certainly claim all the money is there. However one of their most fervent 'supporters ' I_A who claim to be in the know posted that there may be some grant funding in the overall portfolio and there is money from wakefield college - how important and secure this money is will become apparent. If the building on greenbelt goes to an enquiey they are sunk, if not it is a very close call.

That was a discussion about the competitive tendering process and programme implications and nothing more. I understand that all the funding streams are in place and secured and the Wakefield College money is of course a well known part of the secured funding package. I speculated that some grant funding, possibly from bodies like Sport England, may or not form part of that package, that is all.

Many funds that public bodies thought were in place prior to the comprehensive spending review are nolonger available. FE and HE have been hit hard and have to think carefully about where they spend the money that remains. Other grant awarding bodies face severe cuts. For example UK sport will have a 28% cut in real terms over the next 4 years. Maybe wakey's funding is immune from the impact of the CSR. Given that some wakey fans castigate Cas over their funding it seems a legitimate point to raise re wakey's 'grants'.

You have turned a brief discussion on both the value and possible specified need for a robust tendering process due to the possibility of some public money being involved and used my words to try and cast doubt on the funding package for the stadium to others, I am afraid I find that unacceptable! Wakefield's Colleges involvement is well documented and as for other possible public funding streams, I said they are just that, possible!

Do read what i said and not jump to conclusions. Your posts refer to grant funds and money from wakey college (FE)I have said that public grants and FE funds are being significantly cut. In the previous post I give some specific examples in areas that may be relevant for stadium development. Whether you find it unaceptable or not is of little consequence. Some wakey fans here have been gloating about having funding while Cas do not. I have pointed out that public funding especially on capital projects is in a state of flux.

You do not get it do you, Ms ceejames aka as giantjo,sugar and marsdengiant has made a career on rlfans of personal abuse at our fans,the stadium,the bod, in fact everything to do with Wakefield, under the other three disguises she is banned. At this moment in time it would appear that she is intent on causing as much embarassment as possible to us on here, as her audiences' are extremely limited, it will not matter who she takes down with her as she will just re invent herself once more.
