| When we played whitehaven in the grandfinal tommy haughey kissed his badge infront of the whitehaven fans. Steve Ganson immediately pulled him over and told him that he had a responsibility with regards to public order, and he shouldn't do anything which could incite a reaction from the fans.
It is an offence to use words or actions which could result in loss of public order.
Of course the idiots who threw the bottles need banning from the ground but the players escalated the issue.

| Quote ="vastman"Both calls were correct but I agree were harsh but that's life. What no one seems to have noticed is that Pelo was tackled head high IMO and a penalty try could easily have been awarded. Again it was as close to a double movement as you can get without actually being one. Truth is your team lost the game because they are not fit and couldn't last the 80 and Catalan could despite the spirited comeback from you lot...
As for the incident, these things happen and it's best IMHO if people don't make a fuss.'"
Nothing to do with our fitness. Just that we have too many average players who don't offer composure or the necessary qualities on the field. We need to get rid of a couple of players who simply aren't good enough and bring in better calibre players.

| would be shocked but i have publicly said how i deplore some of your fans for previous incidents MANY TIMES BEFORE. Be glad it's public knowledge. Now at least you can root out the problems.
Times like this make me glad the people of Castleford don't see themselves as part of The City of Wakefield in any meaningful way, at least because of this the rest of the district won't be tarred with the same brush!
Sort it out! this is exactly why i will never return to watch Wakefield away at Cas, or at least until i can be convinced that changes have been made and i won't feel i am taking junior members of my family into war-torn Bosnia!

Not remember Wakey fans throwing anything & everything on the pitch a few years back then?
Everyone knows who do it, the club ignore the weekly complaints about em.

So Wakefield don't have their fair share of hooligans as well? Get a grip.

| Absolutely despicable - a few decisions go the other way, and a minority of Cas Fans think it right to throw bottles.
Every team has decisions go the other way, but the reaction last night was scary to see in Rugby League,
And as a Wire Fan, it is even more shocking to see it from Cas - we always enjoy our trips to the Jungle with good hearted banter. Because of this it does appear to be just a minority - but do yourselves and RL a favour and Ban them for life.

| How come no-one in the media was calling for Leeds fans to be banned when they threw bottles on our pitch a few years ago? Not to say it's right, and that the few Cas fans weren't acting like idiots, but why is it that when we do it everyone is up in arms?

I must say from what I have seen from him he really is not like that he did play for Cas and scored on his debut, I think as a standard they clap the home fans, as people have already said they hardly had any fans there so I think they just clap them, and if it was malicous well he will always love wakey

| I've always thought we fans should take some responsibility ourselves - not just at Cas, but at every ground now there are a small but growing number of idiots who think it's tough to swear like troopers and bait opposition fans.
I've lost count of the number of times I've told kids to watch the language - I even stopped them chucking sweets at Klein (although I felt like chucking a bomb at him!).
Fact is we at Wakey and you at Cas are treading a fine line, and the RFL would LOVE an excuse to get rid............

On another note Carvell was taunting the Hull fans most of the second half today but it was all just done in quite good spirit,
I suppose he could also have been found guilty of inciting though!

This happened directly after the hooter whilst the Cats players where still under the sticks about to take a drop out.
Though all I saw was Elima clapping at the Cas fans after someone had thrown a bottle.

3 years running i was bated into confrontation visiting cas. i don't usually react (and only did once) but having things thrown directly at a junior member of your family does make you act out of character.
I can understand why some WT fans show no respect to ANY cas fan what so ever & why some of our younger adult fans seem almost equally confrontational on our own patch, when you consider how they have grown up experiencing such hostilities at away games at the jungle!- which makes it even sweeter when we pan you on the field- where it counts!

Eye patches? That would insinuate that I couldn't see anything.
I saw it, he was inciting the crowd and this resulted in the idiots throwing things. Which just to reiterate, before you start, is no excuse.
People who didn't see the event shouldn't really comment on what happened.

im sure that most wakey fans would of been jesting , if some moron offered you out for a fight I as a wakey fan can only emphasize and offer apologies.
last year at cas the walkers from wakey and cas put in a tremendous effort to raise money for sky Marie a castleford fan , the abuse we got from a lot and i mean a very lot of cas fans was quite disturbing and upsetting . my lads was 6 and 8 at the time and had coins thrown at them and told to '''''''''''' off . however im intelligent to realise that the cas fans who matter would never subject a child to abuse.

Thats a shame it really is, saw you stood by the railings behind the posts just before kick off, can't understand why they would pick on you for just wearing a Cas shirts and all female and kids, its just sick.
I'm sure i can speak for ALL decent Wakey fans and apologise for it.
