Condolences to the Millward family. So sad. Its at times like this that the Rugby League family pull together who ever they follow and i sincerely hope that the family are given time and respect but ultimately much love and support from the World Rugby League fraternity. It would be fitting to have a minutes silence at all the grounds this weekend IMO,starting with the Saints game which have special signifigance to the Millward family from the RL family...

Agree with all the sentiments, Rugby League is a sport and a competition, but the things that marks it out is that it is a community. A minutes silence I would have no doubt will be held at all SL and Championship fixtures given the length of service to both provided by Ian.

It is a tiny gesture and won't help them in this terrible time, but it is the simplest and only thing the community can offer to show their respect and their thoughts, the very least people can do and I have no doubt that it will be honoured impeccably by supporters of our game without exception.

We asked the Millward family for today game at Leigh, (THEY WERE all there today) and they requested a minutes applause, so we did just that, plus it was a young lad, so more suitable I suppose. Robbie was a Leigh fan and it was nice to see all his mates there too today.

Without wishing to detract from what must be a horrific event for the Millward family, I just wondered if anybody on here has any worries about Ian Millward's ability to return to his post at Castleford?

Losing a child, especially so unexpectedly, could take years (if ever) to deal with and I just wonder if he would mentally be in a position to want to return to coaching or whether it will have completely numbed his enthusiasm for the game.

Apologies if that sounds in any way cold, that is not my intention.
