I think you'll find it's part the agreement by which clubs enter all RFL competitions, not just part of 'a franachise malarkey', whatever that is.

even if clubs could not bring legal action the players of the relegated club could bring civil actions eg. sheffield utd a couple of seasons ago.

The players couldn't and the contract is watertight. If the RFL select a team to be relegated, they are relegated.

Firstly, two of the five speakers failed to even turn up, The woman from Methley residents association arguments were weak and mostly already dealt with in the planning report. Andrew Booth, one of the three residents behind the faux groups Wakefield Community Conservation Group and Wakefield Angry Residents made a speech that clearly marked him out as a NIMBY and unfortunately, as we knew and feared, prepared to lie. He was caught out claiming all sorts of official legal rubbish and then when questioned was unable to provide any evidence or back up his claims.

They won't give up but their the fake credibility they worked so hard to cultivate is crumbling... but lets see what the next 28 days brings!

Yorkcourt are working very closely with them on a daily basis, and have been since the implicating legislation was put into place, this was made clear today. To quote a Yorkcourt representative "we are 90% there already", I think it's highly likely that this will be resolved before the 28 day deadline has passed.
Once they have the conditions of the OPP set they can amend site plans in preparation for FPP of phase 1- infrastructure, educational and community sports facilities and stadium.

Section 106 was explicit about the stadium being built first and transferred to the trust before any further stages can commence.

I know we have a lot of work over the next 28 days but I feel very confident now!

I don't see the need to gloat from some Trinity fans. Essentially we have both got what we wanted all along, Castleford will have a stadium at GH and Wakefield will have one at NM. Surely that's the best result for all, shouldn't we all be happy?
