However, I will give you that he is certainly one of the best players in his position and that as far as influence on a team goes he is certainly crucial to yours, just like Brough was to us. |

Why don't you go see if Fev or Whitehaven have any more players you can pinch, or failing that another Wigan reject. Your over 30s club has had it this season. You will be lucky to make the top 6. |

A club can only hope to use it to up the ante when a richer club comes calling for one of its contracted players.
When a player or his agent decide that there's more money/prestige elsewhere, then its game over.The best you can hope for is pretty decent replacement and some cash.
Unfair maybe, but it's the way of the world, and the Chief Exec of every club knows this. |
