We have really had our pants pulled down with this deal and it really has got me feeling like what's the point and am seriously considering not renewing my season ticket and just going to a few games through the season (which never felt like before !!!!). Selling our best player for a pittance plus a player who doesn't want to be here on loan isn't the best way to sell season tickets and get people excited over the club..... Disgrace |

Rumour on the Salford board that the Sneyd deal has nothing to do with the Chase one. Maybe there's a hint of truth somewhere among all the various forms of the same rumour?

Chase is hardly news, Smith has been doing the rounds on and off for a while, and Sammutt has been thrown in for good measure. DK seems like a stupid rumour to me. Settled, playing great, and signed a new deal recently.
I don't quite understand the Sneyd on twelve month loan deal though. He's a good player with bags of potential, but I fail to see the advantage for Cas in the whole deal.

Yes - agreed - I cannot see whats in it for CT at all. Also the fact he does'nt want to come to Cas and its a non-starter for me. |

Also, add into the fact we're also pretty much covered in his position.
There is absolutely no way that Sneyd will replace Chase. Not with Dorn coming. And I know that Dorn - permitting that does actually happen - (or A.N Other half) was signed with the intention of playing with Chase and Ellis.
Therefore, I can only assume that this is a misnomer and perhaps has been thrown out to lead others off the scent for our actual target. |

If Seymour does come to us I hope he is on a pay as you play contract...the guy has too many problems and I doubt they can be cleared up quickly.

I can remember the last time we had a player with plenty of baggage, it disrupted the dressing room, & ended up with players at each others throat's he was a great player though, if were going to run the risk of someone carrying similar baggage he needs to also be a top notch player.

Its a massive IF though isn't it?
He left numerous clubs in the NRL due to discipline problems, and things went the same way at Hull.
If a club with your resources and alleged structure can't (or wouldn't) help the guy what chance my club?.
If he does sign he hope he proves me wrong but I have seen this all too often at Cas, see class players leave only to be replaced with poor quality,eg...
Nikau....Tuuta (ok he played for N.Z too but a massive gap in talent)
Blackmore.....Adrian Flynn
D.Orr......Rudder

I've got it on good authority that Salford have signed Sammut. To be he looks like plan B after failing to get Chase. Good as they both are, I'm not sure if they'd compliment each other very well.
