The main thrust of tonight is almost certainly going to be a sales pitch to push Ferres' new membership scheme, how exactly it will work and what the benefits of being in it are. Whether 'member' also means 'season ticket holder' or whether the two are going to be separate revenue streams, etc, etc.

I'm also pretty sure there'll be a heavy dose of "we've got no brass" and "we can't compete unless..". It'll be sold with a stick rather than a carrot.

Looks like a Silver membership for me.

I know some are complaining about WRE turning into a members only stand. Don't understand it either buy into a membership or go and stand in the Princess street stand, which has a much better view of the pitch and maybe we can influence the officials more

I think its a good idea making wheldon road end all cas fans. Be a bit like the south stand at leeds and wakefields north stand / chav corner

I really don't get Wakefields "push North" where do you expect away fans to stand? There is nowhere else apart form the North Stand for away fans

5 Silver memberships purchased yesterday (3 adult and 2 junior). At the end of last season I was too-ing and fro-ing about getting a season ticket but Cas is in my blood. From been stood on the terraces as a child, to representing the academy as a teenager, to watching now as an adult I will always try and do my bit to ensure my daughter, niece's and nephews (except the one whose a Loiner, spit) have a Castleford Tigers to watch.

how is there? Both are Wakefield fans area and the North Stand has always been an away end, why change just because of a roof?

Don't take this as a dig, but if the club or supporters decide to make the northern terrace our main hub then that is up to us, what used to be the norm will have to change.
As I said the club make plenty of provision for supporters of other clubs.
As far as I am aware our ground is still un segregated so you may stand where you chose, but you may feel unwelcome as we do on the WR end behind the sticks at your gaff.

As far as I can remember both grounds are un segregated so that cannot be.
FWIW I've stood in the WRE on a number of occasions since my first visit in the very early eighties (80-81 I think), hence the unwelcome statement.
As for the northern terrace at BV, clearly we are making a push for it to become something now it's roofed, however to claim it as an away end is ludicrous, I've stood there in about 99% of the games I've seen at BV.

Where do 99% of fans stand when they go to Wakefield? It isn't the West or East or the ludicrous block of flats at the South, it is the North, where would they go if you suddenly forced them out. 95% of fans also stand in the RE at cas apart from the troublemakers of course.

Firstly get your facts right both Cas and Wakey dont have away ends you can stand and sit where you like in either ground.

Cas are making the WRE for season ticket holders/gold members only by the looks of things so that exludes possibly other home fans and away fans, the end will have to be fenced I presume. This would be exactly the same scenario at Wakefield with the North stand. I have always stood on the North terrace, yes away fans congregate there but not exclusively there as I say you can stand and sit where you like.

ALL AWAY FANS STAND IN THE NORTH STAND AT WAKEFIELD EXCLUDING A FEW, can you not get that into your head???????!!!!!!

The point i was trying to make before you got all defensive was i think its a good idea to make the w/r end of the ground cas only fans like i think it would be a great idea to make north stand wakefield only. I always stand on the terrace behind the sticks have done for over 20years and will continue to do so. I'm meaning to get the atmosphere you get from having all the fans together in one area not to stop people standing where they want.

We are the only team who dont have their own really noisy section of the ground. it seems a lot of fans have gone north so it would make sense to give this area to wakefield fans, afterall it is their ground.

I do agree with you that it is your ground, therefore you can dictate if there are to be any areas for home fans only. However, as has been pointed out in more than one previous message, this North stand has always been where the vast majority of away supporters have stood, if you decide to change this suddenly you have to make suitable alternative arragements for away supporters, I don't believe currently there is enough capacity at your ground to do that, considering that a lot of supporters who stand along the sides will not want to move.

that doesn't make it an away end, and for the purposes of your argument it cant be used as one if we (the people that use it 13 weeks from 13; chose to make it otherwise.

The irony is that Cas fans are having a go at us congregating in our North Stand, when they are looking at doing the same (if not actually segregating) at the WRE.
