The only collective at work here is your collective obsession with WTW; understandable I guess, since there's nothing happening darn't lane in this off-season that's actually worth discussing.

I do agree with you on Tim Smith, disappointing signing but always an outside chance he’ll come good. But please spare me the Huby hype, he’s a good average SL prop that’s all and Johnson has had a great season in a poor team, many times against decent team he would put us on the front foot with his runs. Most Hubys so called impressive performance came early season when you had a run of form against weak out of form teams. Any average prop can look good charging into a retreating Crusaders defence, the real test come when you play the good teams before he got injured he was basically a no show in them games.

Clarke better than Ellis pull the other one. Maybe Clarke will turn into a better player but all we have is potential, that’s it! He could turn into a no mark average player we just don’t know. Please don’t mistake potential for class. As for Milner overhyped! Massy and Nash and front row, Brierly or Tomphson in the halfs, what a prospect, I bet SL defences are shaking in the boots!!!!!!!!!!

So we are down to opinions here so only time will tell. Lets just let the field do the talking.

Maybe not Tony but Wilde certainly is. I'm happy to say all mentioned players have equal potential but you lot seem to thinking it's a gimme that every youngen that comes through your system is due for automatic stardom, the Castleford delusion of grandeur continue.

With Ellis and Davey as well as the mentioned it's position that we look solid imo. I’m quite happy with our option at 9s.

Oh dear Fully after the end of season moaning about injuries (and boy did you do a lot) I'm surprised you haven't learnt that the game is played with a squad of at least 25 capable players. You will not play the season with 17 men...FACT!

For the record, I don't think there is much between both teams 17 but we are smart enough to build a bigger squad rather than blow a tidy sum on a player you clearly can't afford.

Cas have a good public record for paying their way. Nobody on here knows the true extent of director loans/payment to players. To their credit they pay within their means and have avoided any financial indiscretions during a very testing financial period. Fair does.

You must be paying RC a fortune though, let's not get back into figures, but that leaves you short when it comes to depth, forcing you to rely on kids, which lack experience.

For what it's worth, I think we'll do the double over you next season. We were dreadful this year, but still managed to beat you and push you close a couple of times. So with a much stronger side I can't see you causing us too many problems. In fact, if it weren't for Rangi Chase, I don't think you'd cause any problems at all.

So what were our relative finishing positions in the table?

Whether you have a stronger 17 is matter of opinion but you offer no solid evidence to convince that you have a stronger 17. I’ll repeat again because its very significant point I’m making, the 30-ish game season is not played with 17 players, do you not understand the concept of a squad game?

I’m not questioning the finances of Cas what I’m questioning is how wise they have spent the budget for next season.

If your on a limited budget like us and Cas I think it’s wise to have large squad of averages players rather than one super star and a small squad of average players.

Yep, that's me. Unbiased, fair and reasonable. As for every post, perhaps you'd take the time to go down each page of threads on the Wakey forum over the last month or so and tell me how many posts I've made. Very few, I'd suggest, compared to yourself and other Wakey lot.

Yes, you have improved but our first choice starting 17 is easily a top eight side. Yours is competing for top eight (and yes, that is my opinion on Wakey's squad for the season - challenging for the top eight).

As for the latter point, what relevance did that have to the fact that our strongest 17 is better than yours? In fact, what relevance does it have to the point? Where was I arguing that the season isn't X games long and you need a squad?

If you say so cockle. I make reasonable points, I don't just argue for arguments sake. In addition to that, I also give credit where credit is due, something which you lot seem (bar a couple of people) incapable of doing. Never mind.

Your loss of form after the first 7 games was nothing to do with injuries it was the fact you had a favourable fixture schedule you started with. All the teams you played was in poor form, you would of no doubt won them games with squad that finished the season. Just as you would of lost the games you did with your strongest team. The reason you started losing was simply because you was playing better/inform teams.

The fact you think your opinions are resonable and any opinions you disagree with as less so speaks volumes about yourself.
