| Well i've heard it's going to be a 2D and not a 3D plan of the stadium.
Just hope it's all positive and not just something to apease the fans.
Not being negative just realistic, how many times how we been let down via the stadium.
Fingers crossed hey.

Why would I know more?
Who knows initially full, then it was likely to be phased. However, phased can mean owt. Salford's is going to be a phased build IIRC. Phase 1 12k, phase 2 15k, phase 3 20k.

| If it's got seats and is at Glasshoughton and meets the RFL's criteria I'll be happy.
If anyone wants more than that, they can pay for it when we've moved house and have our licence.

| Quote StuMain="StuMain"What are you expecting and what would you consider to be a let down?'"
I've never quite understood the RFL's obsession with stadium facilities. I can generally manage to go 2 hours without a pee, and being a bloke I can go pretty much anywhere so toilets aren't an issue for me (I appreciate its different for the ladies). I can generally manage to survive 2 hours between meals so I don't expect food at a rugby match to be prepared by some celebrity chef and as I tend to drive and generally the beer at a rugby or football ground is pretty poor quality a decent bar isn't a major issue either. I have no interest whatsoever in listening to some unknown boy-band for half an hour before k.o. or at half time.
What I want is to turn up 15-30 mins before k.o., have a decent view of the game close to the pitch in a ground with some atmosphere and a bit of banter with some other supporters. Then I want to be able to leave and not be stuck there for an hour.
What I want tbh, is Wheldon Rd. Does this make me some sort of dinosaur, or am I perhaps part of an unrepresented silent majority?

| Was that the reason for the phased build as well in your opinion? At the time a few of your fans suggested they would be putting funds (£5M as i recall) into the build?
TBH I bet I'm a giddy as some of you to see your designs on Friday- Not enough to go to the Jungle but still pretty interested.

I should imagine these will be architects technical drawings because these are what we need to get full planning approval.

Good. You've had your pennies from me this year.
As exciting as designs are though I would hold the champers until we hear about a sale of WR, just as my bottle of Moet is on ice until the council meeting in September.
These are the real issues at hand for both clubs/trusts.

I kind of agree on what you've written, but having good facilities is only a good thing for a club. Having a large bar with plenty of staff could make the club alot more money rather than people spending their money in pubs away from the ground before/after a game.
People might be more inclined to buy food from a proper outlet rather than just grotty little burger vans, also it would be better for hygiene.
...and toilets are more important than most think and it's also important to have better disabled facilities than we have at the moment.

I was actually thinking of building a Wetherspoons that has a normal bar area that people can access from outside the stadium...and on the other side, a counter serving beers from the other for those when inside the stadium.
You'd have 24/7 usage then. Plus, people could pay for some decent beers. But that sounds too good to be true IMO.

Wetherspoons isn't a franchise though and it'd be highly unlikely that Cas would want to lease out their facilities to a company rather than making the profits themselves with a local catering company.

| Yeah but if it helps pay towards one stand then I'm happy for it. Plus, for use of the facilities it could be sorted that Cas get half the takings on matchdays or something?

| But why settle for half takings when we could have the whole lot? Wetherspoons have 3 bars in the area, the closest to the ground only being the Winter Seam. It'd be a bad business decision from them, and it's also not the type of business they do anyway (stadiums).
....and also, one stand? So somehow, Wetherspoons would fork out £3-5mill to have the bars at the Cas ground? Profit in a bar is roughly 25% profit. They'd only be open mainly on matchdays, it wouldn't be worth the injection.
