i watched the game on sky and to be perfectly honest thought the better team won, and although Smith [ who i normally hate made a few mistakes both sides suffered at his hands. what really p*ssed me off was the constant booing all through the match from a proportion of the Cas fans, its not nice to see/hear guys.

I do think that Cas fans get really over hyped with the ref and it being his fault, last night no Smith wasn’t perfect but the big decisions were right, we have seen time and time again Cas play well but not take the game, it could be some kind of mental toughness they lack or just plain bad planning and execution of a game plan, we can guess and assume but only comment on what we see, and I saw a team lose the lead and not recover make silly mistakes that cost them not only field position but points. they gave it their best shot but again came up too short, much much work to be done I hope we have the right people to do that work!!!.
As a note to the Mods I would like to comment on the waky trolls some who are mods themselves who frequent this board seemingly to aggravate and fish, if this was the wakfeld board some of the comments would have been deleted and some posters no doubt banned....I feel that the Mods need to get a grip of this situation and either sort it out or let someone else Mod who will. this is not a criticism just an observation, no doubt I will be heading for a ban for pointing this out but oh hum nothing new there now is there.

to be honest i cant see what the cas fans are moaning about, the chase incident was clear to anyone who knows the game of rugby league, chase collected a loose ball and rather than play on he chose to play the ball after a tackle by a ghost!
everything else i suppose is 50/50 you get them every game and had cas won i doubt many people would be too interested in what the ref didnt penalise catalans for.

Havent been able to watch the game again yet but could someone tell me what the cas try in the corner was given no try for?

As for the first cats try looked like a double movement from up close, as already mentioned the touch judge seeemed to think so to, i think it was decisions like this that were winding up the cas fans, there was definatley a case for checking it with the video ref, but smith didnt, wheras all but one of the cas trys were checked by the video ref.

For the owen no try which was a correct call owen lost control of the ball before the line! And for the try you thought was a double movement, mcgoldrick pulled the player over the line as he tried to get under the ball! Pelo's movement never halted and he didnt make a second movement with the ball carrying hand to score the try, it was a lunge with his body which alllowed and is not what double movement is about, the second movment has to come from the arm and pelo didn't make one. So no double movement. HTH

The decision was that he lost control of the ball as it crossed the line, 6'' nearer and it was a certain try just another 50/50 like the cats first try in my eyes it was a double movement his ball carrying arm hit the floor then left the floor to then ground the ball, my mate watching says he thought it was a try interpretation of the rules i suppose......but the damage is done another lost game. another poor performance dumb rugby dont ya love it well i know TM does cos he seems to drill it into them everyweek

A 50/50 maybe, so was the possible obstruction in the 2nd half that went the way of Cas. Another 50/50 was the Catalans try disallowed under the post, you won't moan about these because you have them rose tinted glasses on. As for the Catalans alleged double movement, read the rule book he went over in one complete motion. Not at any occasion did he raise his arm to project the ball over the line.

That's the problem here mate not Leeds or wakey fans trolling, but cas fans calling for the refs head or saying there is an rfl conspiricy against your club not to make the 8! Get a grip cas fans!! If you wanna blame owt blame you shocking defence as Catalan dropped the ball twice with a clear run to the line, had a BOTD try not given and had a try disallowed for a forward pass. So if cats had a bit more luck they would have 4 more trys!

spot on that mate. its arrogant to say that other peoples opinions are worthless just because they are not the same as theirs. though i don't support cas, i was there yesterday. thought the best team won, didn't see much wrong with the ref all in all. you are correct, catalans bombed at least 3 clear chances or things would have been worse. catalans seemed the fitter team. when i was stood at the back of the sticks, some of the cas players were absolutely shot halfway through the second half.

Myself and a few mates watched the game at my house, all wanting the team from Yorkshire to win, but the way the fans turned on the ref, who incidently had one of his better games was terrible, I thought Cas fans were better than that, 1, high tackles were coming from both sides, 2, Chase screwed up, 3, Owen lost control of the ball, 4 It wasn't a double movement for Cats try, 5, Best team won...............move on!

Chase was tagged on the back by Clayton so I can only presume in the heat of the moment Chase thought he had been tackled by a Catalans player!! Understandable in the heat of the moment
