If you look back to Hull's greatest ever team in the early eighties, it was based on West Riding players, especially Cas-Wakey area. Only leading player from Hull itself really was Lee Crooks. And of course there was a smattering of outstanding players from New Zealand...

Just a example of the players that Hull have signed from that area past and present. Saying that i still would'nt mind seeing another Knocker in my lifetime again.

. Anyway one less for the Cas to Hull FC Express now Chase might be staying in Tigertown.

He will be staying till the end of the season for sure and that could lead to a few difficulties. As some one who also watches Cas a little outside of FC games I think Cas supporters will have nothing but contempt for Rangi now. He clearly does not want to be there and you will look to off load him ( if you can ) the worse scenario for all concerned would be be HE HAS TO SEE OUT HIS CONTRACT WITH CAS NOW.

I am not really bothered if he comes to Hull or not, we shall see i just hope it sorts its self right for everyone.

I think Hull have dodged a bullit by not getting Chase and Cas Tigers have been hit straight through the heart by it.

Think he was being sarcastic, Cas have done very well out of Hull, next season they will have at least 3 ex Hull players in their team.

Naturally Hull would look to Cas for their players, because the commute is managable, it is easier for them at the moment than their poor (clubs own admission) development pathways.

At this time Cas are in the second tier of the Super League and have to accept like League 1 and Championship soccer clubs that if Clubs in Hull's, Saint's, Wigan, Leeds, Warrington positions call it is hard to resist.
Interesting to for me to see how Salford go with recruitment, retention and development becuase the only thing (big thing mind) they have changed is the stadium, is that the catalyst? I know they struggled early doors with the shock of the new bills - but will they manage to stabilise and progress in 2013? Or are they eeking out what they can and in reality going to be skint in 2013??
They have had a really positive 2012, but the challenge is to make it a progression, not a dead cat bounce.
