Players like Rangi Chase are made for the big occasion (Danny Brough in the NL1 grand final anyone?) so if he is denied the chance to do what he does best against the biggest club in Yorkshire in Castleford Tigers biggest chance in a decade at the CC final then there is no justice.
Still no news from the club website which makes me think there are a few mind games going on here or at least I hope thats all it is!

I think the purpose of the court is to administer justice, and I don't think you get to not answer assault charges because you're a bit busy at work at the moment.

I still think there's something slightly odd about this story that doesn't quite ring true though.

I reckon they're planning to smuggle him into the Keepmoat in someone's kit bag and spring him on Leeds as a surprise at the last minute.

I think this whole thing is a bit of smoke screen. Of course Rangi will play and Matterson knows it he just trying to play the guessing game to confuse Mcdermott ( not very hard). Think about it, the latest he is in court can be Friday tea time (early morning our time). A Friday Evening/Night flight will get you back Saturday tea time at worst.

See, that's the puzzling part. Surely if that's the aim it'd be easier just to phone him up and mention "tactics" or "game-plans" or even "completion rates" wouldn't it? This whole Rangi Chase thing seems a bit over-elaborate.

I agree it does not ring true on the whole so I would expect that this has just been allowed to be blown out of proportion by the club in order to put a little doubt in Leeds collective minds and it seems to have worked if we are anything to go by.

So from that one could assume it's a visa issue? That probably explains why it's taken so long then, if there is a case to answer. These things always take ages to sort out, as our problem with Weller Hauraki proved earlier this year.

not sure what the heck is going on but ive just been told from someone who works opposite the club that rangi definatley got on the bus with the rest of the team to go to doncaster after lunch.

i reckon the club are loving this and it may well be taking the heat off the players and helping them relax in what otherwise must be a very intense week.

i guess we arnt going to know until sunday but we have gone from he`s in court wednesday then thursday those days come and pass and now its next week,he was flying out on monday,tuesday then wed night now today somebody must be p1ssing themselves at the club ive even heared from a player he hasnt got a visa to get back and thats the problem.

the onlything we havent had so far is an appeal from harry gration on look north appealing for his safe return to the club,if this is an elaberate joke we have fooled everyone including the national press.
