| It sounds more and more likely that he will be in a Cas shirt next year. I say give the lad a chance before we start slating him. He is certainly a big unit who scored a fair few tries last season at London. He's another body that will put competition into the centre role with him, Griffin and Thompson pushing for the spot opposite Joe.
Let's face it, he'll be on a lot less wage than Mathers which means if a player in SL or NRL comes free early in the season we'll have the money to go for. At the moment there aren't too many centres out that are avaliable so better to get Pryce in with a full pre-season under his belt than wait to see start of the season when it will take 2 months plus to knock him into shape.

| I am ambivolent to Karl P, but like every person who signs for Cas, I will ignore their reputation and history and judge them on what they do for us. As a previous poster says, if he busts his balls for the team and shows bottle, then he deserves respect and cheers from us, everyone makes mistakes, even Gasnier made a few!
Let's face it, there are a few players of dubious virtue that have become legends at Cas - I would even respectfully suggest that Rangi is the most recent with a chequered personal and loyalty history, but he performs for us and rightly is playing at the highest level, so as far as I am concerned, he deserves all our accolades and if he signed for Wigan, Leeds or Satan himself after great service to us, he goes with our best wishes..... We even don't hold it against Danny Orr that he went to the pies!
I am usually not quick to boo, or quick to hail players as a hero, but our job as supporters is to welcome new players, support them and give our team the best chance of success..... Sure as hell booing players off at half time or booing individuals or writing them off as crap before they even officially sign or pull a boot on is only going to make everything worse!

| Well Millward really will be a miracle worker if he can turn Karl Pryce into a centre of international quality (or decent club quality for that matter) ,given that the likes of Noble and Mcguire have failed, not to mention his stint at Gloucester R.U was it?.
Still i like what he is doing in regards to training and the professional approach he appears to be installing into the players already

| I actually liked Pryce at Wigan, he's pretty good on the Wing actually.
Not going to outpace anyone, but give him the ball 10 yards out and odds are he'll score, and teams don't want to attack down his side just because of his size.
His SL Try Scoring record is phenomenal.

True, but in every other area of the game that doesn't involve being 10 yards out and getting a pass from his centre, he's a pudding.
When we played Quins last season, he was in just the position described above, with only big bad Kevin Penny between him and the line - he literally walked over Penny, stomping all over him in the process, scored the try, then went back and peeled Kev up off the floor and gave him a pat on the back. Twas a comedy moment.

Another overseas signing for you. You trying to compete with KR for the highest number of non-British players in superleague?!
There's a post on the VT from someone saying there's currently about 120 overseas players in SL which is impressive given clubs aren't supposed to have more than 5. If strictly adhered that'd be 70 - so much for the 'non-fed trained' rules brought in to try and reduce the number of overseas players in SL...

Cheers, I am quite simply beside myself with glee that 2 pages of this thread seem to have been about a rumoured signing, openly discussed with view but without petty squabbling, I might print it and frame it!
Long may proper discussion continue!

| Could Pryce be signed as a potential forward, lets face it he would be the tallest and heaviest player at Cas.

| Word on the street is that Mathers is coming over to us but you're still paying part of his wages so Wakey get him on the cheap. The money you save on his contract will be used to sign Pryce. I can't say I'm that impressed with Mathers but if we get him on the cheap I suppose it's value for money.

Mathers, when on his game, is a very good player indeed.
He is willing to take the ball up and organises the defence from the back. When he got injured and didnt play towards the back end our defence looked a lot more frail

| Would appear Richie is back training with the rest of the team. Wonder if there's been a U-Turn.

| Seems that there are still things to be resolved with Richie, but I hope it gets sorted and he continues with us in 2012.

That did cross my mind at first, but we've plenty in the backs really, we need forwards.

| 6 million dollar question.
Is his heart in the club, will he give 100% or will he just go through the motions.
Some of his past twitters sound bitter, so we'll see what happens next.
Wonder why the u turn, cant he find a new club, cant wakefield match his wages, are cas not prepared to pay half his wages.
Funny carry on all in all.
Some answers would be nice.

| Strange carry on. However, I for one am glad he's back in training with us. Hopefully he will stay at the club
He did put on his Twitter on Sunday "We'll see what tomorrow brings" so hopefully this is the start
Who is James Parks?

| Rumour in the Yorkshire Pride 3 in Benidorm, that Sam Tomkins was going to replace Freddy Starr in IACGMOOhere, we now know why he didn't, Tad the owner, (great Lad) a Cas supporter was not pleased that he chose Twickers instead of the Jungle.
He would have done well in The Rat Run.
