salford were as poor in that first half yesterday than any team ive seen in ages if you play ok youll win, they looked all over the place.

i'm not getting too carried away just yet, we played very well on friday but against an average wigan team lacking confidence. Confident though we can beat Salford and it will feel great to get back to back wins

I imagine i'll say this a few times this season. I just hope they give us a game and aren't as much a pushover as Wigan always seem to be.

Glad to be playing Salford again. We both will be targeting this fixture as one of the games we should be winning, if we're to have a decent season. Back to back wins for us would be nice.

Should be a good match, we need to contain Alker and Myler. I expect a tough encounter with Cas just taking the spoils.

Cas to win. It won't be as easy as some will expect though.

cas to win fairly easily imo

I think you will win at a canter. Not because Salford do not have good players but I think their coach is way out of his league.

They have two big strong running props, Lululai and Cashman I think, both made good yards against us. When they had Alker, Myler, Paul and Fitz sombody on the pitch at the same time then they looked good. Paul was the man who made them tick, he brought players onto the ball and got the best out of Talu. He was only allowed to play about 20 mins.

McRae has got the Salford squad underperforming. They have a good squad of players

Cas will have to much guile and pace and McRae will not have a plan of how to play to his strengths or how to counter the Cas threat. Cas by 40.

I'll give us 20+ lead. Dont think they will be a complete pushover and I think it will take time for Cas's game to get going. A couple of trys without answer and I think they'll fold.

40 ? No. Less I'd say.

Now, Cas fans being as they are and accustomed to winning one we might not expect to and then losing one we 'should' win!!!! So I am trying not to be a neg-head.

I just hope we're more mature and stronger than in some recent seasons and we win one when we're supposed to - when form, quality across the squad and home advantage says we should.

Close at half time, but 14 points in it by the end. (I hope)

just watched the highlights of wakey and salford on superleague.co.uk.

My thoughts were that they look shocking in defence and after wakey scored the 3rd try there heads went down, Get in to em early and i think we can walk over em.

Not too concerned by how many we score, rather how many we concede. I want to see real improvement from Cas this year and that, in my eyes, means "shut outs".
That said keep them to anything under 12 and I think that'll be ok.

don't get carried away like you did against the quins. salford has some great players, and some decent forwards that i think will match cas's forwards. if alker and 1 or 2 others fire there could be an upset. the first half at wakey,don't think they really got going. they gave it a good shot in the second half and were unlucky not to win the second half, but there again wakey were 8 first team players out. so i'd say cas by 6

Will be very surprised if it's only 6point margin, reckon more like 20 and to say Salford have some great players is a little bit wide of the mark, only player I think could be even classed as even outstanding (let alone great) is Mr Paul, Mr Brown!
Having said all of that, we really have to be on top of our game and not take the reds too lightly.
