| Clearly I don't want you to win it - annoying really because if it has been almost anyone else from the lower levels I would
However I want you to do well in the play offs.
Why.
To finally put to bed this crap idea that the only clubs capable of challenging are the big 4 - and also that there is not enough British talent about when clearly there is.
Grudging well done, you can drop all the smug we are a new force crap and admit you just struck lucky with this team but apart from that it takes some doing. It's taken 18 seasons but your the closest yet to a rank outsider taking it NRL style which was the whole point of the play offs and if you don't do it ( ) you give hope to others who may.

| I didn't want you to beat us on Sunday and was looking forward to stopping the party, but as we didn't I'm behind cas to win the LLS, though it will be tough as it's not really in your hands.
As for playoffs, the game at Wembley will hopefully help show what needs to be done. Leeds raised their game, and will again in the playoffs. Cas need to be able to do the same.
I'll support Cas through the playoffs, partly because they are the under dog, but partly because they have done everything this season to show they are a top side and are still not viewed that way.
William Hill have Cas at 9/1 along with Hudds to win the GF. Only Catalan and Widnes are lower.
There is a thread on HKR forum where someone tries to show progress against the teams outside the top 5, but don't include cas as a top 5 team, even though on Sunday they could be number 1.
Plenty of fan comments, not just from Wakfeild saying it is a one off.
I hope Wakefield do better than Cas every time we play and in the league, but I think Cas deserve more respect for what they have done this season. Making Old Trafford would be a way of forcing that idea.

| Tigers and Wakey have similar resources, playing budgets, overheads and league standing.
Tigers success this season is a bench mark for teams like Wakey to emulate - it proves it can be done.

Ditto!
I think that expresses my feelings almost better than I could have done myself.
Aside from the odd few who we would never hear the end of it from, I would love Cas to do well in the playoffs for the fans of your club, but also for the fans of other 'unfashionable' clubs as it would give us hope.

Pleeeeaaassseee, seriously? I do hope Cas fans will not embarrass themselves with that line if hopefully they do win the league leaders shield.
Leagues Leaders shield by the way is that you are in the lead up to the point of the play offs. If it was champions or League winners it would say it.

What was it you referred to us as on your board? Poor little Cas?
Don't be so mean spirited fella, we'll promise not to get ahead of ourselves and remember our place.
Was you so dismissive of the league leaders shield before your 4 league defeats on the bounce and realisation you'd finish 6th?
It might be a token award and mean nothing to clubs who regularly win pots, but it's still better to win it than not win it, surely? Especially now it offers a guaranteed gig against an NRL club.
No idea if we'll win it, but massive achievement if we do.

You might want to wind that neck in just a little. Re read what I put on that board about poor little Cas before suggesting anything else. I bet I have been to more Cas games than you this season, so please do not take my post as anything close to sour grapes. I really hope Cas top the league, as I have so much time for Powell especially, I was just correcting the statement of winning the league, when it isn't that.

Fair do's
Though I do believe coming top of the league table does mean you have won the league, i do understand its not winning the grand final or gives you the right to call yourself champions.

| All I can say is that in the 50 years I've been supporting Cas we have come closer to winning the play-offs than finishing the regular season on top of the league. While I always entertained the hope we might once have the glorious month necessary to contest/win the GF the prospect of a club with our resources collecting more league points than anyone else has been unimaginable. I still believe a GF success is possible down the line but this is surely as close as I'll ever get to see us winning the LLS so sod Old Trafford and gimme the hubcap.

| As far as I'm concerned Castleford have been the biggest success this season. One of the teams expected to be fighting relegation have appeared in the CC final... Finished in the top two and could still win the LLS in the final week. They have arguably been the most consistently entertaining team this season.
Wether Castleford flop in the playoffs and some team with more playoff and final experience are crowned "the champions" doesn't matter...
Balls to the league structure. Well done Cas on shocking the RL world this year and entertaining the crap out of everyone. It's been inspirational.

we had exactly the same thing last year, for clubs like leeds and wigan especially it might mean nothing to them but for clubs like ours who have won nothing of note for decades and spent the best part of 40 years scrabbling around in the lower divisions it meant a hell of a lot,as im sure it will to cas fans if they win it.
good luck

Well as a Saints fan I certainly hope we win the LLS - and if we don't I will be applauding Cas for an excellent effort this year.
I can't wait for next year when all this 'not really trying' in the regular season gets put to bed. Perhaps then the LLS will get some credibility it deserves , the challenge cup and grand final is not enough to play for IMO.

| Lots of luck today from a Leeds fan failing to be neutral. Hope you do it. What a story you lot have been this year. From 12th last year to cup finalists and in with a shout of top spot this year, and still the play-offs to come. Fantastic stuff.
Come on Cas! (Just for today like)

| Close game for 35 minutes but unfortunately playing in that heat in France against a massive Catalan pack who play there every other week was too much. They should have 8pm kick offs down there to make it a level playing field.
Out muscled.

| As a neutral who wanted Cas to win the title I was very disappointed with what Cas served up.
Yes Catalans were good, yes it was hot and humid, but chances like that don't come very often.
I think they will feel they didn't turn up.

| Obviously as a saints fan I'm delighted to have won the hubcap, but have lots of sympathy for cas who in other circumstances I would have been cheering on today. Whatever happens over the next few weeks, this has been a good season for both clubs, and hopefully cas fans won't let falling at the last hurdle taint their memories of the year. See you next week.

Same here, I was hoping Cas would be top Dog in Yorkshire this season, still got the play offs.

| We got you one hand on the plate though on Friday, but frankly your performance in France (on Sky) looked totally flat to me
The weather was warm - and yes you`d travelled but I was really expecting you to show similar intensity to that shown in our game on Friday and to go for broke! After ptomising so much and playing regularly right up to the final whistle, it seemed sadly that the team just didnt turn up and those who travelled and coaching staff must have been very disappointed..........
And those at home also who couldnt shell out so soon after Wembley
Had backed you to pull it off but so disappointing after promising so much in league and Cup !!
Still -we can always hope we`re both at OT eh?
