Excellent point about Aston, but I also think the 'secret' of his success has been long term change and consistent, predictable building and using players he wants and being allowed to sacrifice in the short term for longer term development. He is a quality person and I think I am right in saying coaching is not his main job, he couples it with other commitments, so is unlikely to be looking for a full time role no matter how *ahem attractive that might be.
Sadly, in our position and in fairness with the nature of our support, that is simply not an option becuase the patience doesn't exist.....
