In all honesty, I think that the game will be a fantastic event and neither side should fear trouble.

I'm a minor sponsor and I certainly don't want my brand associated with any trouble, nor would I risk the safety of my kids, all of whom I am taking.

I know most of the officials at the club and I know how hard they are working to make sure this game is talked about for the right reasons.

How about Fev and Cas show the world what a local derby should look like? As for the result, I'll be happy if we lose by 20.

You're right and those with their heads screwed on will agree with you, and together we stand here disgusted with by tonight's behavior of a few.

However, take a poll of 9000 people and you'll always find that not all of them have their heads screwed on properly! Throw in a tense derby game, all day on the lash and a statement that has given supporters extra 'excuses' to bicker between them and it doesn't bring out the best from such idiots.

I really think Fev will be a sterner test than Wakey. I think now we have a bit of confidence, we should edge it but I don't think there will be that much in it. Here's hoping for a good game!

Just had a bit of a chuckle to myself.Apparently it was Gansons fault Wakey lost and we didn't play well just played less worse than them. What a load of crap. Was 50 today couldn't have asked for a better birthday present thanks lads.

No Fev fans, most fans, including myself, had their jersey hid as it was cold, both fans threw missiles, the first coming Wakefield's way after the first try and busting some passive elderly chaps head..

More Wakefield fans were ejected as the stewards and Police were facing towards the Wakefield fans. They must have thought the majority posed the biggest threat.

The club hired 3 stewards to stand behind the sticks. That was the problem. Segregation wasn't an issue as fans were mingled and stood next to each other with no discernible barriers.

To be fair, it all kicked off when the idiot down in front of us moved up towards the singing Cas fans.

The willy squad at wakefield need looking at but they do at . Hull KR , FC , Saints , Wigan , Widnes , Leeds , Fax , Salford (very much so lots of trouble every year) , Featherstone , Whitehaven , Hunslet , and yes Castleford.

It was my first match this season due to health and other things but i decided as always not to sit although i joked ealier i do have a seat i never use . i stood with a couple of trin buds and me being me was more disgusted with what my own fans were doing . I even had a wakey fan walk passed me and do the chest out thing whilst i was talking to my wife about moving soon and getting the kids from the other side of the ground with all their mates and club to sit them in seats and i quote "the bobbies are on the way here love" and he started chest baring me





however im not blind and we were right in the middle of the sticks on the walk way and the problem lies here and my main issue with segregation .
missiles being thrown from [uCASTLEFORD[/ufans and wakefield fans but not the ones face to face , oh no . The cowardly gutless ones that leave bombs to explode . they start the songs , they throw the coins , they throw the bottles , the cans they provoke it and im being as honest as my eyes can be under the roof a lot of the throwing was coming from the back of the tiger end .

Then it was the gutless wakefield willies at the front end goading just like the sending down squad who invaded the field.

In no way im i gonna start measuring tallywackers and want to know who did what and when , in fact your right our handling of it was shambolic .

but lets remember whoever threw a bottle , punch or did anything to risk our clubs do not have our clubs survial at heart . you have been down this path before .

as for us its just because we had a new toy .

This is how I saw things - Behind the sticks up at the top there were circa 3 stewards for the first 30-40 minutes, it may have been shortly before half time when a "response" team arrived bringing the total to no more than ten. The real trouble flared just before the 2nd half when beer was thrown at Wakefield fans, this led to an exchange of sprayed beer, then thrown plastic bottles (2 or 3 of glass construction). A few cigs were seemingly thrown. Police slowly and belatedly arrived around the 55 minute mark. After initial brief skirmishes, probably caused by what many home fans felt was one sided crowd control, violence then died down for the last 20 minutes.

I think our limp performance by this stage had quashed Wakey fans adrenaline.

That shows more about who was causing the most bother, not how the stewards were handling things...

I'm sure there are directions they have to follow. Like I said the Cas fans at the back looked a lot younger than the Wakefield section and Wakefield had more numbers, ergo a bigger threat possibly. It might be efficiency reasons and for cross-referencing the steward debrief, who knows? Personally I thought it was unfair, without the Cas missile throwers there wouldn't have been the Wakefield retaliations.
More relevant officials should have been there tonight to spot and eject trouble causes. The late Police intervention should have seen the Police casually march fans back from each other.

We all know what happens when you put 2 local derby fans together. Need we say anymore?
The respobsibilty has fallen with the wakefield club.
First of all we are not allowed in the stand. Second of all we are allowed but only a third of it. Third, we get there and we are given half with 10 stewards in between.

What a farce the wakefield club were tonight. I knew, and you all knew there would be trouble. So why wasnt this fully dealt with before the game? Because the wakefield club (not fans) messed up on stewarding and segragating.

I was in the north stand and was hit by a full bottle. Which I believe was thrown by a CAS fan on its angle. But bottles at half time were thrown from every direction and both fans.

I know its easy to blame each other for this but I as well as most of you expected it so why wasnt it dealt with? Because wakefield messed up. End of. If your gunna say 1 thing then stick to it and deal with it.

This whole episode has nothing to do with fans of either side, fans go to games to support their team. It is to do with a sad group of idiots who have nothing better to do than cause trouble, then slip into the shadows when it all kicks off. Hopefully there will be some CCTV footage of the cretins who were throwing things, and lets hope they get the full weight of the law thrown at them!

how can anyone blame RW for this happening? he fought for his right and the fans right to stand where we have always stood. Just because you have put up a roof means we get huddled into a corner? NO, we have the right to stand in the AWAY stand.

No CCTV footage unfortunately, no lighting and inadequate stewarding and police.
A ridiculous campaign started by Wakey "lets Go North" and the even more dafter "This City is Ours" - We have no connection to Wakey and their City whatsoever - it was just a dig at Cas been a Town that happens to come under Wakey Council.
The enquiry will start next week into this and I am expecting Wakey to get a massive fine for their failings to deal with it.

Doesn't say much when you see the idiots who got dragged away by the police, was the ones who were shaking all the hands of the so called stewards before the game. When it all kicked off these 5-6 fans that were causing the trouble were the same guys who knew the stewards, no wonder the stewards just left them there! Good job police showed up cause it would of been a warzone. And btw the trouble started straight after Owens try, the first 1. Some Wakefield idiot threw a half full can and it his my friend straight in the face, and then it just escalated from there..

Wow the inquest begins... and this is how i see it

The fault can be dished out in many directions:

Andrew Glover - lets all move to the tin roof he should have said nothing and let the wakey fans make their own decision as to where the home crowd would like to stand, his idea caused friction.

The ground staff - anyone who was turning up at the turnstiles after having a skin full should have been refused entry

The ground security - a couple of our own stewards were there and offered their service for free before the start of the game only to be told we don't need any help, which seems a stupid statement to make as when the police turned up a comment from a few of the police officers said the organisation of the stewards had been a joke.

However the biggest blame goes to the idiots who decided to turn up and turn a family sporting event into a war zone, many comments saying that the people who were ejected were from the Wakey section but regardless of who they support Cas Wakey or any other game we do not want them at our games and supporters of both teams need to make sure that when we see unacceptable behaviour that it is reported regardless of the colour shirt they are wearing or the team they are supporting.
