On the subject of Clarke, perhaps someone could enlighten me but it seems like he's been pretty shoddily treated by Matterson in the 2nd half of the season.

The way he played in the first 12 games or so I expected him to finish the season as our 1st choice hooker and one of the stars of the team but since then he seems to have barely played. I'm not aware of him having any long term injuries so assume this was a selection decision by Matterson which if so beggars belief as he is, along with Rangi, one of the few players in our squad that has the ability turn a game on its head.

During his time here Matterson has occasionally taken what seems like an illogical dislike to a perfectly good player and not picked them (Damian Blanche & Keith Mason being obvious ones) and it seems like Clarke has fallen into that category.

If you watch the game back properly, you will see that the referee and video ref got most decisions right. He missed the forward pass for the Cas try, but the rest were right. I was calling the hell out of him at the game for thye way he reffed us, but when I watched it back I cahnged my mind, all of our disallowed ones were correct decisions (although we should have got a penalty for the head shot on Welhan, who would have scored had he not been clouted around his head)

Really enjoyed the game, I really enjoy watching you play. You give 100% every single game. I thought you were unlucky and its a shame it's happend again like last season. (Sorry for rubbing it in) Each year your improving as a club and you've got fantastic young players coming through the youth system. I thought Nathan Massey have a brilliant game for you.

Thanks but it seems we're improving no faster than the other clubs around us - 9th for the 2nd year running after finishing 7th in 2009....

Whilst it was a superb achievement finishing 7th in 2008, I do believe that the reason we finished so high was due to the fact that Wire and Hull were particularly awful that season.

Keep your key players, got a great youth system ( Arundel, Clarke, Miller) Bring a few decent players in to strengthen your pack and the back row.

Agreed. You could equally say that Bradford have underperformed for the last couple of seasons and if they get their act together they will be in the mix for the top 8 next year so we could have a solid season but find ourselves in 10th without doing a great deal wrong. But that's being overly negative



I guess you have to look at our season in context and realise that we have done ok. We had a huge slice of bad luck with the number of injuries we had in one position - prop - which was undoubtedly the big difference between our results in the 1st half of the season and the 2nd.

Seem to remember Latus scoring and a Cas player trying to remove his head in the process. This should have been a another penalty under the posts as he did this while he was scoring.

You mean the one where the Cas player was running at full tilt so couldn't pull out of any incidental contact and both the video ref and Silverwood said there was nothing wrong with it?

That'll be the one that was shoulder to shoulder! No where near contact with the head!

Nothing in it at all, looked worse in full flight for the players behind Latus hence why they had abit of handbags afterwards; Anyone saying otherwise have the rose tinted glasses on again.



But i cant say the same about the Welham no try, that was clearly 1st contact with the head and should of been a penalty to Rovers not a knock on. So between that and the Fozzard "high" tackle (which there wasnt anything wrong with) they equalled it out.
