Clearly Hudds should have told Cas if they were planning to wear their white kit, so Cas could have come in their home strip.
Administrative cock up by Hudds that made the game a laughing stock on Sky.

The official directive from the RFL states that Huddersfield are down to play in their Principal kit.
Huddersfield fans are saying they have been instructed by the RFL to play in white due to Sky coverage.
If true, then somewhere, someone has not told Cas this information or Cas have made a boo-boo.
All three parties have some responsibility. However, Huddersfield being the home team it seems stupid them playing in their alternative kit. If they can't play in Sky in their home kit like some of the excuses their fans are coming up with, they should be made to change their home kit so it IS suitable for Sky TV. Simple!

Wrong, try reading through the RFL website. It was a home game for the giants and they were down to play in the home strip. We didn't need to bring 2 kits at all and I don't think any team does this, they know in advance that if they clash or not. |

It's also the responsibility of the home club to wear their home kit unless directed by the Match Commissioner to switch shorts/socks. In the case, there's a full clash then the home club can wear their alternative kit.

i am told this was because this kit had just arrived and Cas wanted to 'promote it'. The Cas club asked the Giants if they would be kind enough to wear their principle kit for this game. The Giants kindly agreed and this was approved and confirmed by the RFL.
The Giants agreed to wearing the alternate kit to help Cas. Again I am told they did so on the proviso that the kits would be 'reversed' for the Giants home game.
The giants MD says he has the paperwork from the RFL confirming the kit option for sunday. so either

To me it leaps out the words 'p*ss poorly organised' by Cas, Hudd and the RFL ......all 3 of them together. For God's sake amateur teams can do it, women getting ready for a night out can do it....yet we end up with a colour clash!
As simple as it is to those of logic. When each team submits it's 19 man playing squad, 2 days in advance, doesn't this present a good opportunity to settle/submit playing shirts/colours aswell. |

The RFL have their directive and then they have scope + a procedure for variations from it. Just as Cas varied in their home game versus the Giants. Fortunately for the Cas vs Giants game the Giants knew what they were doing and brought the correct kit. HTH |
