| One of my greatest memories was when I really became a Cas fan, the game where we beat Wakey 86-0. Now that was particularly sweet

| I say if again!...but the last season at Wheldon Road/Jungle, how about the home shirt in the same design of the 1986 Challenge Cup win, with the names of the 50 greatest Cas players (voted by the fans and club officials)woven into the shirt?
The away shirt same design as the 1969/70 Challenge cup win, with the season ticket holders for the last season at W.R woven into the design like the 2002 shirt?
Think most would by both,i would

Id personally settle for that, a good lick of paint and the old girl will do for me.
I just hope the atmosphere goes with us to this new ground because all the others i have visited arent half as good as the ones they have replaced..... hull, hull kr, warrington, wigan, Huddersfield . all soulless pits without half the atmosphere or character of their predecessors.
10 years time eh, the way superleague is going , Ill be glad to still have a club to follow

| Sounds a bit sad but would quite fancy an abmer seat for the back garden. Would go nicely with a bit of wooden deckin. Feel just like being at the Jungle on game day with the radio on in the garden.
Bet we could get quite a bit for things like this.

Most of the new grounds are terrible soulless places as you say, i went past the new Arsenal ground the other day and it looks shocking like a concrete jungle.
I will be amazed if the ground is built at Glasshoughton, Richard Wrights statement the other day in the express was not very convincing especially the bit where he said we have the funding then next sentence he says we are after extra investment. He has already stated the ground may have to be built in stages because of lack of funds, this thread seems very optimistic in my view, i also saw him interviewed on look North and he will make a good MP the way he skipped around avoiding answering questions. I hope you get your stadium but if i was a fan i would want some straight answers to some straight questions

| They have got the funding in place - £11.5m - but are looking at additional funding to try and make it bigger and better. We shall see. I fully expect it to be built.

We have to believe.
The sale of The Jungle provides some of the funding, Waystone are putting money in (£1m has been announced with additional funding on top - not sure how much), the council land loan yields another £2m and there are plans for other funding streams including Club Fifty (all 50 yields £250k), commercial partners, not forgetting the lettable space within the stadium itself and finally the fans will be contributing too.

You think the Jungle was sold for 2m? can almost guarantee it went for over double that.
And why SHOULD or why WOULD the club tell YOU confidential details? they wouldn't simple as.

| I dont expect them to tell me confidential detail at all but why do they always avoid the question?
Are we not suppose to ask questions ?
Why do they not even aknowledge the email and politly say off ?
Where is your proof or is it just " i know someone "
Too many questions and NO answers ??
Again i hope im wrong but there is no proof at all that we have any money Please prove me wrong if the ground has sold for 4 mil and you know this, Where is the evidence??
Truth is there is none !!

I recall it being in the Cas & Pont, but a quick search on google doesn't bring up any results on the ground sale at all.
The club will announce news when there's new to announce, at the minute there is no news, and you should all relax because no news is GOOD news.

That would depend if the club wanted to sell,by how much and the size of the patch.

The £11.5m figure is in estimated figure based on Chesterfield's stadium which is a 10,000 capacity all-seater (albeit would be increased with standing areas).
Your estimated figure of the sale of WR is well out. Wakefield sold Belle Vue for £3m and they do not have the space nor the location that we have (the training pitch, car park and also the ground and ancillary facilities itself). That should give you a bit of guidance to what The Jungle could be worth. From a personal view, I expect The Jungle to sell (if not sold already) for a minimum of £4m, however, the club will have a better idea. Obviously, if the financial climate was better that figure could be higher (and that is one potential factor as to why the stadium probably hasn't been built before along with the Chemical licence at Hicksons).
If we take my hypothetical figure of £4m, plus £2m from both the Council and as I've said, Waystone have increased their initial base funding of £1m - how much no one knows - that makes £7m+ sorted already. That's without the lettable space, Club Fifty, fan contributions and any other investments in the stadium itself from commercial partners.
The finance is available and I'm sure the club will exhaust every possible opportunity that comes their way but I - and many other people - have every confidence it will be built.
And to tag on, regarding your emails, perseverence is the key.

Just been on the Saints website they are selling the seats from the main stand for £18.95, and the pitch in square foot (12 inch x 12 inch) patches for £15.95,with larger patches can by negotiated at a discount.
We should do the same!, i would want more than one patch of the pitch to put in my mums back garden in memory of my late dad
