| Quote ="Vowzee"I have been watching from afar and have talked to a few people and have also had my say in the AYE Fanzine this week. I obviously am very disappointed how things are going at the moment and would love to see Cas winning again. Now having thought about things a bit more I urge all Cas supporters to go to the Salford game and support your team. Grab a mate who hasnt been for a while and take them along. When the players run out to warm up cheer them, when they run onto the field cheer them on and cheer them on through the game. The reason for this I know from experience booing someone doesnt work, I hated it when it was done to me. Now I know you are all upset about what is happening but staying away isnt the answer in fact I think it will do the club more harm then good. I know you are upset with a few areas at the club and to be fair I believe there should possibly be a forum that you could attend with the club members and discuss things and say your points and vice versa. I just think if you all turn up and support the boys and if they see this they will, if they have any pride for the club play accordingly. There does need to be some changes no doubt in what area I dont know but staying away wont do anything I believe. So as an ex player I would love to see you turn up and show what Cas is about and that is supporting the club and singing and cheering. I hope this will lift the players because at the moment they will be thinking it is an us and them thing and we dont want that we want unity. I know this is a big call but give it a shot and if it doesnt work you can say you tried but it will take everyone working together to do it. There is no better place than the jungle when the fans are singing and cheering and this lifts the players believe me it does it gives me goosebumps thinking about it. I believe the palyers will lift.
Cheers
Vowlesy'"
Cas until I die. Now lets prove it.
C'mon CAS!

| Great to hear from you Adrian. I think we all know you're watching all this closely and to have some input from you on this is fantastic. It's good to hear things from another view. Ok, you're the other side of the world and haven't had to witness things up close like us, but i know you've kept up to date with things so you understand why we're all feeling so low. I hope a good chunk of fans take your advice on board and give it a shot. As fans, apart from turning up every week, we haven't been quite as vocal as we should have been, understandable of course. As you say, you were treated to some of the bad stuff in your early days and the booing did nothing to help you turn it around. I'm sure if the players show half as much determination as you did to turn things around they'll get our support. I just hope a few more fans will see your post before sunday and go to the game with a better attitude, and do our bit because as you say, at least we can say we tried then.

| Top post from our very own assassin, he has given us an insight into what it means to a player to be booed by your own, and also how it feels to know they are behind you. So I urge every to get behind the team they need you more than ever at this moment in time.
While I read Adrians post i had a tear in my eye and a lump in my throat and I hope those who are thinking of staying away have second thoughts after reading it,
No matter what happens tomorrow Loyal, Loud, Cas and Proud

My thoughts exactly down to the lump in throat and tear in eye. If every player had only got half the heart of Vowlesy then we would not be where we are now. I only hope it is a confidence thing so come all you tigers fans show we are the best fans in Super League and lets get behind the boys tomorrow and show the players we can still support them through thick and thin and see if that extra player, that is the fans, can lift them to a great performance.
If yo're proud to be a Cas fans clap your hands.

| It chimes with something I've been thinking f
or a while: we had a poor home record last year, and it's continued this year. Yet the weight if expectation is huge - both on the players and from us. So they get nervous and tighten up. And when we get on their and start booing - which we do - whether the team or individual players, it just makes it worse and they tighten up even more. Everyone says how great it is at the Lane when the fans get behind you, because we're right on top of the pitch. But it must work the other way too. In an ideal world the crowd at the Lane would almost be worth a 14th man on the park. But the way we've been riding them over the past 18 months makes it harder not easier for the team.
So this afternoon, let's get behind the team, not on their backs.

| It wasn't pretty but i will take the win
Thompson has taken his chance well and when Shenton comes back i would be tempted to play Jordan on the wing as teams look to be targeting Wainwright in defense alot more now.
I though Tuson was useful off the bench, runs and tackles well above his weight and would be a good signing if Wigan wanted to sell.
Improved performance by the side yes but the next two games will be a better indication of how we are as Salford were terrible today

| Well it wasn't pretty was it? In fact it was a poor game all round and when they scored just before half-time I feared the worst. In the second half we were much better though and worked quite hard to grind out the win.
One thing that really stood out was how we dominated territorially - we must've spent at least 75% of the game in their half. The kicking game in the first half was terrible, but in the second half played a huge part in pinning them back and keeping our momentum.
The performance should help put some confidence back in the players and give them something to build on. I'm conscious of the fact that one win doesn't resolve the issues everyone has with the club at the moment but I do agree with Vowlesy in that we need to stick together.

| Well done to the Cas fans and players yesterday it was a solid and committed performence from all on the terraces and I think you could see the players grow in confidence and showed more guile as the game wore on. It seems to me that our confidence problem at home is connected to the kind of noise the lads hear on the sidelines I mean we all know how we can intimidate the away team but when that is reversed against our own lads when they make a error or put in a bad performence it has a cumilative affect as the seasons pass until you have this nervous and tentative performences we have seen of late. In short we have a big part to play to improve things on the field and I thought that it was very telling with the body language of the players at the end comming closer to the wheldon road end than I have seen in a long while to applaud us that this is the type of support that they need.
That is not to say that we dont have significant problems off and on the pitch and I am not laying the blame for every bad performence or defeat at the feat of the fans (who have stood by the club with more passion and numbers than most others could hope for or expect in our position) but after two relegations there has been a steady increase in the bitterness and negative noise from us and I believe that cutting this out will make a difference to the players and give them more freedom to play without fear.
And on the subject of people getting into the faces of players outside of the pitch throwing shirts at the coach whether it be in the tiger bar or anywhere else this to me is not only sad but extremly embarrassing remember that when you wear that shirt you represent me and when I wear mine I represent you and when you abuse the players or coach you are tarring us all with the same brush as you have done to yourself!
Ill take the win yesterday and hope for a steady improvment in the next few fixtures but lets remember to respect each other, respect the players, respect the coach and respect the shirt you wear!
UP THE TIGERS!!

| Nice moment at the end too with the players coming over clapping us and visa versa. I know that does happen generally when we win but it seemed to last a hell of a lot longer. It is only 1 win against a very poor side, but it's a step in the right direction.

| According to the [url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_league/super_league/8632763.stmBBC Sport match report[/url we had 51 sets to Salford's 39 and had a second half completion rate of 96%. Those are pretty impressive stats.

I agree entirely about the players showing respect to the fans who have stood by them and it was good to see Westerman being the first to make the move towards the fans. However did anyone else notice that when all the players walked towards the Wheldon Road stand, James Evans was making a lonely exit to the dressing room. If this is how he feels about the club then leave him out and play young Thompson who does show a desire to play for the shirt. Let's be honest about it Evans has hardly set the world alight during his time here.

=#0080FFI see your point, but let's not be quick to judge him, he could have been injured or anything. I personally think we've missed him when he's been injured. Our defence is much better out wide when he's on the field.

| TBH McGoldrick deserved the MOM. He had a great game. JT was fantastic, and Wainright made some good hard yards forward.
Sherwin got lucky twice with his kicking. The first when he fell on his backside and kicked it straight to a Salford player who knocked on and we got another set of 6 and 2nd when he kicked it against a Salford player and Jones scored. His kicks to the corner were way off the mark. It's a really good option kicking to Dixon in the air but whats the point if its ten meters from the try line? At least twice Dixon outjumped the salford defence. If it had been over the try line he could have fallen over and scored. Worst case would be defuse they bomb and they get a tap! 10 Meters out, either
1. We catch it and they tackle us and we hand it over
2. They catch it and start from the 10m line
3. They catch it and run the length of the field!
Rangi was poor with his passing and not that effective running at the line but his short kicking game was fantastic. We got 3 repeat sets and a try from it. It's the mirror opposite of last year!
I think we are going to miss Tuson in defence. He was very solid when he came on. We need Widders back soon. Ferres will add more to the attack than defence but still we need him back too. Catalan won't be easy and London have found some form.
