| Worst - Sean "did i ever play for cas" Ryan, leads me on to Ryan Sheridan (albeit lamed by bad incident) leads me on to ....... sherw.... no only kidding, the ferret "rudder" gets my vote for worst, and best well vowlesy, fritzy early on in noughties - no contest, but tookey was great albeit in a cameo, and lynchy didnt let us down in 2004, thinking about it he never let us down, but for me and for the hard work and yards - nutley and manu were crackers in late noughties
and ready for the "teens" will be shenny, joe, richie, jordan et al lol!!!!

| It is hard to pick individuals - the team of 99, arguably our most successful was probably successful becuase there were no superstars - everyone contributed.
So I would probably have Dean Sampson, Danny Orr, Michael Shenton, Brad Davis, Adrian Vowles as having huge contributions in this decade.
As in the true best players - you would have to be looking at Nutley, Manu, Bartrim and Shenton as 'best' in their positions and they woudl be playing for anyone, I was also a massive Crouch fan, I thought he was proper quality for us and was never quite right with his knee in his whole stay here so what he would have been like 100% fit we can only assume.
In terms of worst - thats more tricky because Sean Ryan, Rudder, Greenhill and Newlove et-al were not the worst players I have seen - they just played the worst when they were here either through form, injury, motivation or just being out of date - so - worst based on what appeared to be talent I would go for - Kyle Warren (apologies if he was good in Aus) and Sione Faumuina.
Tom Harbrecht didn't do well for us, but at Championship level he's OK, so it is not his fault he got his chnace is it?!?!?
I can't believe people are having a pop at Jonny Hep, Aaron Smith, and Deon Bird and those types of player - admitted they aren't Rep material but they did a job for us when we needed them, be it limited or otherwise?
Having bagged the worst, don't get me wrong, I would love to be as good as the worst ones!!!!!

I reckon that team could reach a grandfinal, the forwards are immense, and the backs have some real class and speed.

Indeed, I can't believe I'm the first to mention Crouch. Never a stand out player but a consummate professional and a solid grafter.

jones, fritz and crouch have forgotten more about commitment and work ethic than some players will ever know.

| Speaking of worst player, sione faumuina (who in my opinion had the potential to be on the greatest list if he would have used his brain and put the effort in) has walked out on the tigers, again! this time without a ball being kicked [urlhttp://www.qrl.com.au/display.php?pg_id=5099[/url
Has now decided to go to union instead[urlhttp://www.northbrisbanerugbyclub.com.au/news/sione-faumuina-eagle[/url.
So in total he has been sacked by nz warriors, cas and north queensland, was released by canberra, left quins and east tigers without playing a game and had a very unimpressive 3 games stint with fc. Such a waste of talent.
He also claiming he knows nothing about the warrent for his arrest[urlhttp://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/league/2778983/Police-hunt-Sione-Faumuina[/url

I had him in mine at first, but with Manu and Fritz having played in the Cas back row as well, who could you drop?

| I'm baffled by the couple of fans who have Aaron Smith down as one of our worst signings.
That season we were unbeatable before he got injured - became terrible during his absence - then turned it on in the final when he returned.
Had it worked out for him at Cas, I'd much rather he was Hudson's back-up.
Now I did actually hate: Newlove / Rudder / Greenhill

The reason why i have him down is the manner of his departure, asking for a release to retire due to injury and then signing for haven within days.

He was god awful. I remember the best thing he did was a joint big hit with BJ Mather on Stewart the old saints winger and then he sent BJ in for a try against saints in 2002. The rest of the time he just knocked on. Dire signing!

He was tall, which gave us a great option kicking to the corner and he was an outstanding finisher from short range, which made him a good partner to Monkey. He was strong defensively too and gave 100%.

| In the last 10 years i have to say the most influential player i have seen at cas has to be Broughy, i know it was in NL1 but he was class, he single handedly won us the grand final he knocked the fight out of the early doors and without that who knows where we would be!!
As for people bagging Newlove, i find this mind blowing. My understanding is he only got paid when he played and he didnt do that too often and he he scored a full lengh interception against rovers. Ohh and not forgetting the fact that he is absoloutly 100% the best british centre i have ever seen (last 25 years).
