Was talking to Sione the other day, And he is actually getting down with all thats been said/sung about him, And getting booed when his name is read out and stuff. I hate to say this but i would give him another deal, He has shown touches - With big hits and fancy passes and i feel he could make the step, But is just taking a while to adjust --- This is completely different to Korki last year who i was one of the first on his back, As he deserved it, And now cant even hack it at hudds.

Give it till the last moment possible to let him earn the deal - but i would give him 1 year

I would give Sione another 1 year deal. IMO when he settles down he will be good for us. Yes, he makes mistakes, but so do all players at times. Just wish that TM could make better use of his size and strength (and stop him kicking!!). I would like to see him replace Clayton in the second row, and then play Westy a little wider.

Why would we want to let Higgins go?? Can anybody honestly say that he doesnt give his heart to the shirt every week? Would also give Boyle another deal, but seems that TM has something against him.

Cant ever see Clayton making the grade at SL I'm affraid. I dont like saying this as he gives 110% every time he pulls the jersey on, but I dont think he is or ever will be good enough. Needs a good NL1 club.

He'll probably be playing in a miles better team next year and all the ones who have abused him for months will suddenly start moaning about why we let him go

He played well, got through a lot of work and put a couple of big hits on Long and Wellens.

Thats what I wanted to see all season if he played like that every game he would have been signed up already.

The biggest thing against Faumuina is he's an overseas player and with the allowance reducing to 6 players next year we're struggling to fit him in.

We've already got Sargent, Sherwin, Chase, Widders & McGoldrick contracted for 2010 so can only have 1 further overseas player. Which means keeping only 1 of Faumuina and Evans or getting a new player in altogether.

At present I'd choose Evans over Faumuina as he's more consistent.

That said, I can't understand for the life of me why the club gave Widders a 3 yr deal or McGoldrick a 4yr deal, while at the same time refusing to offer one of our players of 2008 - Luke Dorn - anything more than a 1yr extension!

A. He didn't want one
B. Cas got better with Chase

You don't need to sign Sione because apparently Langley is 'nailed on' for Cas. Apparently Bulls don't want to extend his contract.
