To be fair, I think there are a few players who certainly didn't disgrace themselves. Shenny was one of them. I think awarding Westy the MOM was a nice touch and a nice message of support.

Sounds similar to that famous youtube clip of the footballer who went up for a header and got a bang on the neck which denied oxygen to the brain and affected his nerves briefly, causing him to keep going for the header over and over and over again before they held him down. He played the following week and was completely fine.

While there was nothing malicious in the tackle, it certainly looked a bit dangerous to me - clearly the result demonstrated this, and I think Ian Smith recognised this in hindsight.

All the best to Joe for recovery though, and let's hope there is no lasting damage.

I thought that too. It was Pryce who ran over to the ref to stop the game then within 2 minutes he was getting grieff. I overheard a female cas fan having a right go at the saints players for not doing anything to help calling them arrogant W*****s. God know what she wanted them to do!!!!

Im suprised that no one has metioned the fact that it took the match officials over a minute to stop the game. If god forbid the injury was a lot worse to to Joe the medical staff would have lost valuable time because the officials did respond quicker.

Even if the ref had missed the fact Joe was hurt there are at least 4 other officials and a bloke in the stand one of them could surely see. One of the touch judges could of flagged cant tell me they both missed it.

Hope he's okay, never nice to see or hear anything like this but fingers crossed it all looks good.
