If you have read Crooksey's book he makes an interesting comment about Fev never getting into SL due to "not fitting into the RFL's grand scheme".

I wonder if he will be making a U-turn when he will inevitably be asked that question again ?

Not sure what i would make to us getting Crooksy to be honest, as for his comment he is right or so i thought before Mark Cambell took over, i know him personally and he told me he will not rest until we are in super league and i have never known a man with as much drive and energy in my life. Maybe Crooksy has changed his mind also after been in his company. The RFL are corrupt they changed the constitution of super league when Crusaders went into admin, would they of done the same had Wakey gone into Admin 1st ?????

I haven't, but Im guessing at the time he'd have been right (2010?), clubs need to change, and Featherstone are in the process of overhauling the club.

Fev will NEVER play in Super League.

Neither do London, and the RFL are eager to make an example out either you or us.
Add onto that the upset caused by the RFL leading Halifax up the garden path, and they well be ready to promote one of fev or fax if we let them down again.
I would be very cautious of making such bold statements if I were you, you could be left with egg on your face.
For what my opinion is worth, fev are a very well run club, with an impeccable playing record, excellent junior development and are steadily putting things in place off the field too, anyone in our situations should consider them a concern.

They didn't do that though, the Halifax fans & chairman didn't understand the RFL properly, they were invited to be compared against the SL clubs on the SL criteria...so they were never getting into Super League that way and the way their chairman behaved after it then imo he ruined the clubs chances of getting into SL again.

Especially when they were basing it purely on the stadium, The Shay really isn't that great add onto that no youth development etc they had no chance realistically.

Same with Fev they have nothing to offer the competition - no fans, poor stadium, not much in terms of youth development, unless Leigh do something nobody will leave Super League next time round (imo, of course).

Oh and using London as an example isn't the best ideas, they get the Richard Lewis expansion free pass.

nothing to offer you say,that is not a super league criterea, no fans, we averaged just short of 5k the last time in the top flight and have a world crowd record that being a dozen bigger than the population, we would be ok for crowds, poor stadium, maybe but when it is refurbished it will be fit for purpose. As for youth development well we have just sold 2 players for approaching 160 k to super league teams and are 1 of only 2 teams to put our U18s into the super league competition at our own cost not funded by sky like all the rest.
Some teams in super league have had up to 15 million pounds out of the game more than we have and yet have less to show, are they more deserving of a place than us????

As far as youth development at Fev is concerned 95% of the development carried out with Zak Hardaker was done by Featherstone Lions. Just a shame that Rovers show absolute no interest in their amateur neighbours or even acknowledge the hard work put in by Lions excellent coaching staff.

You had exactly the same opportunity as every other team had when promotion and relegation was still part of the game. You tried and failed because you weren't good enough, just accept it.

If it was up to me you would have your place in SL through merit of winning the Grand Final, the game needs P&R to generate sustained intrest.
The RFL give the impression that they want either Cas or Wakey out next so do you really think they would replace either with Fev?, no, not in a million years. You can make as many new appointments as you like and your BOD can make as much noise as they like but at the end of the day when the next licences are handed out the RFL are going to pat you on the back and say well done Fev you are a credit to the game and are a model club and an example for others to follow but the next licence goes to Coventry!!!

I don't understand how both Cas & Wakey fans can even laugh at Featherstone for the ground, lets get some facts in place here.

Since Super League started:

Apart from the new roofing at Wakefield and the corporate at portacabins at one end, no other improvement has been made? plenty of talk of a new stadium, but still waiting.

Castleford - zero improvements, plenty of talk of a new stadium, but still waiting.

Featherstone - New Family Stand, community centre, improvements and expansion to the clubhouse, extra gym facilities & wrestle room. In addition to this the movement of the two stands from S'Boro. Floodlights & barriers around training facilities.

Finances, don't think any of the 3 teams can gloat!?

If your going to pick a new team for a license, at least make it more realistic than Coventry! Toulouse will pick up these honours.

Anyway good luck, all 3 teams need to work together rather than against each other.

Just when did Wakey approach the phoney pharaoh and get rebuffed? I’m not aware of it. I suspect it’s just another made up Castleford urban myth. I don’t think anyone really hate the guy at Wakey, for me personally he’s been a great source of amusement especially when I’ve been proved right about his motivations from day one.

To be honest I think the way things are going for Cas and Wakey the RFL are just gona get fed up of the false promises and one of you will get binned for sure, my monies on Cas.

I've said before I would rather stay in the Chamionship and have a team the competes every week instead getting hammered every week like cas n Widnes.

Like you have a choice about superleague.

As for the RFL I think they will jettison both Cas and Wakey and play the merger card again . They are that trustworthy
