The patellar (check spelling) tendon is the tendon that leads from the kneecap to the lower leg (the line you can probably see on your own knee).So to say this has split sounds rather painful, and to say the guy played with it for the latter half of last season is a bit of a miracle. Sounds like a b*tch to sort.

well from what ive seen of ryan around the club and in certain bars & clubs this year , i would say he isnt exactly aiding a swift recovery .
Im sure huge amounts of alcohol dont go hand in hand with recovering from injury.

Alcohol can interfere with antibiotics that a person may take for recovery.

Alcohol and ones diet can affect the recovery from injury and illness . As can lifestyle issues such as lack of sleep and rest. Those are also facts .

Alcohol may have a positive OR negative effect in this - clinically proven. Similarly, too much sleep and rest can inhibit recovery: this is also clinically proven. Now I think it's time to put this to bed once and for all.

He's a good player with well-documented flaws. What I don't understand is why people feel the need to keep repeating the same old "news" over again. TBH, I think most people know.

wrong , Mcgoldick is a quality player and we could do with him fit . It just frustrates me when i see players that dont appear to help themselves. I agree that there are other players with lifestyle issues , dean widders pic in league express (looks preggers) is an embarrasment to the club.

Ok I apologise, fwiw I don't think his perceived social life has any bearing on his recovery. Re: Widders, as long as he plays to the standards he has been doing, no problem for me, he is far from an embarrassment, more of an asset to the club through his community work.

How anyone can berate Widders is beyond me. In fact, that is embarrassing in itself.

I did cringe when I read the Widders insult. Awesome bloke and a good try scoring record for a 2nd row used off the bench.
