Actually this running joke and the whole lo hek thing harks back to the days when this site was much more popular with cas fans and there was a lot less bickering. Whilst banter will always be welcomed it is the petty squabbling that has driven people away imho, some cas fans are being just as bad as the wakey fans, it would be nice if people paused before they posted and thought to themselves is this going to destroyed this thread, if people did this forum would be much better. I know it is easy to get drawn into these arguments I've not been entirely blameless at times in the past but if everyone could just think before they post we can all enjoy this forum more.

But the point remains delboy66, and if there was some considered modding of your own posters as well as visitors, as Bren pointed out light hearted banter could prevail as it does on other forums.
Incedeous posters who dwell here have been stopped from posting elsewhere for antics that are tolerated on here.
Maybe that's why few cas fans bother just as much as outside trolling.
IMO of course.

But the point also remains that derailing the thread is not on ,

Why not instead of complaining about trolls, just ignore there comments and dont reply to them. It all sounds a bit pathetic to me..Also i think the word troll is thrown around too often because another member from the wakefield area just happens to disagree with your comment..im a cas fan i dont post on here often but i think some people need to get a grip..rant over!!!!

And yet several posts in this thread alone, containing obscene and offensive references to sexual acts, plus a good few examples of circumventing the swear filter, remain in place?

I'm another one who used to post fairly regularly on here and other boards, used to be some good banter and insightful contributions about the game, all there seems to be now is tit-for-tat trolling (and not very good trolling at that). Nowadays I just lurk in the background in the vain hope some form of normality might be restored

The 'obscene and offensive' references to which you refer relate to a long-standing forum joke which first appeared in the Tigers fanzine many years ago and which gave rise to a fictitious character appearing first on the 'Zine's website and then on here. It's fair to say the phenomenon (and the joke) has waned in recent times, but it's still referenced on occasion, as is the case in this thread.

However, as the whole thing originated from an article in a well known newspaper - one which quoted all of the words you seem to suddenly find offensive and obscene - it would seem that you expect this forum to maintain significantly higher standards than are deemed good enough for our national press.

With that in mind, I'd say your definition of obscene and offensive seems to be a little out of kilter with that of the rest of society. Frankly, I'm amazed that such a delicate little flower as yourself remains on the forum long enough to type the post you made without swooning at the sheer depravity you're exposed to. I'd advise you to return immediately to the Wakefield forum where everyone obviously talks exclusively about rainbows, unicorns and princesses.

im not a troll but i do like coming on the cas and wakey sites every thread just turns into bitterness after about 2 pages and then posters start threads saying there not posting anymore (why start a thread to tell everyone i dont know )sometimes i forget which site im on its like the sites are merged
