To ryan and his family i send my condolences.

As a parent who has lost a child can i offer my deepest sympathys to Rifleman Backhouses parents and family at this sad time.

Very sad news indeed.

May I remind everybody that there's a 'Help For Heroes' R.L. Legends v Army match on Saturday 25th July at the Jungle ([url=http://www.castigers.com/cgi-bin/news.cgi?739_2997LINK[/url), giving us a chance to show support for our servicemen and women and contribute to this charity that provides some of the help and support they need.

So very sad, losing James, who put his life on the line, fighting so that others may enjoy the freedom we all take very much for granted in this country.

It puts rugby very much into perspective, deep condolences to his family and friends.

This is extremely sad news. As a nation we are indebted to the sacrifices of our heroes in the armed forces.

So so sad, and an amazing turnout to see all the repatriated soldiers given the true respect they deserve, dead soldiers never truely die they live forever in the regiments they serve, full respect to the lad and condolences to his family

Very sad news, my brother in law has just told me about the news and mentioned this game at the same time, 4 of us will be coming over to show our support.

Sadly news is just filtering through that a second solider from Castleford died today in Afghanistan, obviously I don't think at this stage it is right to psot his name

I think we, as residents of Castleford, should be very proud of ourselves. People are quick to slate us for being a small 'in-bred' town but we've shown that when we need to we all pull together.
