As said before, it is the small minority of fans that every club has that behave in this fashion, however also as said before the problem should have been reported to a steward so the problem could have been dealt with accordingley, as these problem's are a priority to be resolved this season.

Im afraid to say very little can be done now as the culprits cannot be identified, therefore no action can be taken. These kind of situations are becoming common place everytime fans mix, i myself got some abuse at headingley last friday, swearing and the usual inbred crap, but it wont stop me from visiting headingley in the future to come.

Hopefully this encounter will not stop you from visiting the jungle in the future, stewards cannot stop fans from mixing without segregating the stands, but mixing is one of the things that makes the RL experience what it is for myself and many other fans, and while ever they can mix, "banter" will happen. Ignore it, report it to a steward an get on with enjoying the game, too late to do anything now im afraid

The person who posted this thread was giving as good as he was getting from where I was stood there was quite a few cas fans that moved away from that area before half time because of this bloke and his mates attitude towards cas fans and language and I was one of them. maybe we should have reported him to the stewards. instead we took it on chin as banter and got on with it.

Which is what i do with banter, it happens, shrug it off. The point im trying to make matef they feel so strongly about it, tell someone instead of complaining to the club when noting can be done about it. But if it is true that a few have said and that he gave as good as he got, then pretty hypocritical of him.

ill tell you why he didn't contact a steward, because he thought i know what i will wait till i get home and post on interweb and tell the world!

The Warrington fans are to fast to point the finger and blame a small minority of fans from any club but their own. Castleford is my favourite ground after the KC, and I for one can't wait until our meeting there.

On the game, I thought you were very unlucky to come away without any points in the league.

Sorry I was stood right at the back of the stand right underneath the scoreboard. Can you confirm where you were standing as if you were stood there then you were one of the ones I am complaining about!

I am a Wakefield fan, and have never at anytime had any abuse by any Castleford fans, and thats even with some of the crucial games over the last 7 years or so we have had. I know every team have morons, but cas have no more than anyone else.

The younger of the 2 men looked very much like the grey haired female who was abusive,the children looked like their dad and the woman standing next to the younger man had a wedding ring on! You don't exactly have to be sherlock to work it out do you?

Mmm i was stood near the score board during the first half and there was some banter going off between some cas and warington fans, in particular on of them called one of the cas fans a thickdim i remembered it well cos the bloke who shouted it was about 22 stone himself, Riggins thought he wa ordering a chineses LOL, But all in all they were arguing with some young cas fans and were not good enough with their answers, sorry but there wasnt any threats chucked about from what i heared, So if its verbal abuse your complaining about, your fans also have something to be desired dont they, "people in glass houses and all that eh"

You have got to be having a laugh !! I was stood near the scoreboard with 3 ladies and 7 kids aged between 7 and 9 , we move away from the 3 wire fans because the kids felt threatened . Yes it was the group that included the large gentlemen who were swearing and abusive to a group of cas fans stood behind them. I took a photo on my phone of them and have send it to west yorkshire police and the warrington club. Unbeleivable truely

Have to say I wasn't at Cas on Sat but it's always my favourite away game. For reasons I don't know myself, Cas have always been my second favourite club.

Unfortunately every club has a small minority of abusive fans, generally kids or people who can't handle a beer. (god knows we have a few at Warrington). As people have said if the original poster was so threatened he should have contacted a steward. Or quite simply moved places.

I remember last year after the Wire/Wigan semi final there was a little bother and a couple of Wigan fans came onto the boards calling all Wire fans scum etc....... Pathetic really and just as bad as the people they were complaining about.

By the way, nice thinking from the poster who took a pic and sent it to the clubs and police. A much smarter and pro-active response than coming on a message board.

I agree, it seemed to be coming in both directions, and we were only stood there for the last 5 minutes of the first half!

This sounds like a case of six of one and half a dozen of the other. The fact is nothing will be achieved by having a whinge on here. The stewards should've been contacted during the game if there was a problem - if they weren't contacted then it can't have been that serious, or as some suggest, the original poster isn't giving the full story.

Maybe some Warrington fans have got that used to having something to moan about for the last few years, that when they had nothing to moan about on Saturday evening, an opportunity to sling some mud on the Cas board must've been too much to resist. I'll re-emphasise the point that if they didn't contact the stewards during the game, it can't have been that serious an issue.

And there we were, Me, my 9 yr old daughter and my mum and dad, loved the first half, just to the right of the middle on the princess street stand. Second half around 8 male Wire fans came over, lots of banter going off, some colourful language indeed (not from me i might add) and at the end of the match we all shook hands, patted each other on the back, and wished each other good luck for the season----don't you just love this sport and its fans

no we were stood about 10-12steps infront of scoreboard and it was the 3 large wire fans at the front that were being abusive and taunting cas fans.so no wasnt me your talking about. but seems you have yourown fans that dothe sameas what yousay cas fans did. Do yuo see us going on your forum and trying to tar your club.

By the way when you were at wilderspool your fans werethe nastiest in the league threatening allsorts to opposing fans going to away end and on way out. I think people in glass houses shouldnot throw stones.

Never nice to hear about these incidents but every club has a percentage of idiots following it. I've had witnessed similar incidents to that of the opening poster at alot of SL grounds over the years and one day they'll lead to us all getting segregated and the family image of the sport will be knackered.
