| Considering one's a prop and the other is an hooker/half-back, why not? Unless you were thinking of Adam Milner instead?

| We've got a bit of depth in the forwards this year
Out of Huby Jackson Fozzard Emmit & Walker who would you drop?
Obviously not Huby as he was our best forward last year, Emmit played in the Grand Final, Fozzard brings some experience to the side and is steady. Jackson, solid and reliable. Walker, made some promising shots off the bench.
Personally I think TM will leave Walker out if we have a fully fit pack.
Owen won't be fit until April at the best so I can see Dixon on the wing.

Sorry, yea Milner
Walker and Fozz on the bench looks good. Impact props are like buses, none for years then 2 come along at once!

| That's the thing. People say we are short in certain areas we do have the depth. If we have a look at the following list of where players can play:
FB: Mathers, Thompson, Owen, McGoldrick
W: Dixon, Youngquest, Owen, Thompson, Aspinwall.
C: Arundel, Dixon, Owen, Thompson, McGoldrick, Orange, Ferres, Aspinwall
SO: Chase, McGoldrick, Widders, Orr
SH: Chase, McGoldrick, Orr
P: Huby, Jackson, Fozzard, Emmitt, Walker, Snitch, Massey.
H: Hudson, Orr, Milner, Clark.
SR: Snitch, Widders, Ferres, Jones, Harris, Holmes, Aspinwall.
LF: Ferres, Davies, Aspinwall, Hudson.

We all know TM loves the old utility players. It doesn't look too bad does it? Stick JM on that list and it's certainly a play off contender.

You're listing Widders as a potential stand-off but not centre? Where was he when he scored his 90-yarder at Bratfud/

| It's alright but we need specialist players in special positions, personally I do not want widders any were near half back, he is a forward no other teams do that, also Aspinwall has been bought as a forward I dont want him to be utilised as a Wing man, those days are gone for him! We constantly moan at TM for players out of position so let's not have it were we start getting exited about players out of position! We need few new players that's all it takes couple more and where in a better place than last year. Also Ferres will be loose next year was confirmed in Evening Post last week

Good job you dont have Steve Mac as coach then. It's one of his favourites. Morrison, Solomona, O'Loughlin. Hell, any backrower he could get his hands on would play 6 at some point.

Deano wasn't the only one to go full length that day. Ok it was really just from half way, but what an amazing, inspiring run it was.

Quote ="Cecil B"
1. Mathers
2. Dixon (where anyone suddenly got a downer on him I have no idea.)
3. Monaghan
4. McGoldrick
5. Owen / Youngquest (Richie will not be hurried back)
6. Chase
7. Orr / New signing
8. Fozzard / Jackson (Jacko will surely get a start, did nothing wrong last year)
9. Hudson
10. Huby
11. Jones (Abso work horse)
12. Widders
13. Ferres (not a loose, but 3 back rowers in essence)
14. Snitch
15. Milner / Orr (Milner did well, so I expect if Orr starts at SH, then Milner will be interchnage.)
16. Emmitt / Aspinwall (Don't know enough about either to judge between except Emmitt has a GF appearance!)
17. Walker / Fozzard (Have to give Walker some time this year, he came on tons last year and we didn't fight for his signature to have him in the juniors every week.)
'"
You know what, as a run on 17, I would probably take that. I am worried around halves and hooker if we lose anyone, because we are thin there. we know TM likes playing Jones as interchnage hooker and although he doesn't do anything wrong, he is not a specialist.
With Orr in the squad and Rangi more experienced, if we did give a younger squad member some runs at scrum half, I think we could protect them with experience and bring them on, we have enough utility in that 17 to give them a break or take the load off them.

| Stuart jones is also a penalty machine and a knock on pro, not up to standard anymore but good squad player when injuries occur!
Played him as interchange hooker which I believe is disgraceful as he wasn't good enough there! We have enough players with more quality than him, workhorse and a try hard player but seen better days

The vast majority of Wire fans are sorry to lose Richie. He was excellent for us last season and for me should have lifted the Lance Todd. I wish him and Cas all the best for next season.

Everyone seems to be overlooking Thompson. It sounds like he was one of the star players in the England academy games, and did a decent job when he played for us last season. I think it's unlikely he will get a shot at fullback with mathers in the squad but surely he has to be a contender for a wing/centre spot?

| Not overlooking Thompson it's just that we have so much squad depth that it's hard to pick a 17. I believe this is our strongest squad in a while bar one or two positions where we could do with adding some firepower.

We may even get a good cup run this season
All we have to do is avoid Barrow
