| after watching the hull derby i got to thinking about the ex cas lads on show and wandered what kind of team this could produce.
my criteria for selection is anyone who came through the youth set up and is currently playing with a super leagus side. for overseas players cas must have been their first club and now playing with another s.l club.
this is the best i could do seeing as i am supposed to be working. so fill in the gaps if you can or replace with better.
1 mc goldrick
2 eded
3 shenton
4 isa
5 blanch
6
7
8 watts
9 godwin
10 lynch
11 manu
12 boyle
13 westerman
didn't get as far as subs.

| Elima, Cording & Lunt all played for the Cas academy at one point or another.
You could make a team out of ex-Cas & Wigan players easily though...both teams combined must have produced the most players currently playing in SL.

Is this not recorded somewhere, it would make an interesting list, I quite fancy that Wakey would be top 6 at least. Guessing Wigan 1st with Leeds 2nd.
Anyone have the details?

Only thing I can think of is looking through every teams squads, Wigan will lead the way by quite a distance I'd think though.

Did you not know that the UK is actually just a small part of Featherstone, not the other way round?

Brough wasn't brought through by Cas.
He played for Wakey academy, then Dewsbury, then Hull.

Burrow counts on Leeds list Langley on Bradford so academy they came through.
The dissapointing thing for me is that over 1/4 of the players were trained overseas.

In the words of the great Homer J Simpson "Doh"!
Rob Burrow played his junior rugby at Castleford Panthers before going to Featherstone Lions when they paid the best young players to join. These players included Richard Owen (from Westgate Redoubt), Joe Westerman (from Lock Lane) and Liam Watts (from Lock Lane).

You can't take the rise out of someone and then get it wrong yourself!! Rob played for the travs in fev from a very young age as i can remember playing against him for Stanley from u9s and then going to play for the travs myself ut u12s with players like James Ford ex cas, James Houston ex fev. I don't remember him ever playing for Cas Panthers or (Pointers as they were then) so i suppose you could say you are both right, he played his school rugby in cas and junior rugby in fev but hey ho dont let the truth get in the way of ridiculing someone. Doh.

I guess I must've been seeing things when I watched Rob play for Cas Panthers in the same team as Kevin Till (Cas Academy & Gateshead) and Aaron Gornall (Leeds Academy). Silly me
